"This isn't real.." A muffled voice spoke.
The Mind stirred from his rest at this noise, mumbling something in response."The hell..?" Mind mumbled, lifting his metal head from his pillow. He swore he heard a noise. Maybe it was Heart's crying again, or Soul's drunken rambling. Either way, he didn't want to check. He knew he had to. For "the sake of the Whole", he always said.
Mind shifted his body upwards, lifting himself out of bed. He felt the warm sensation of the bed drift off of his body, returning to a familiar sense of coldness. He continued to move himself out of familiarity, eventually reaching the door he promised not to open so late into the night.
A small click could be heard from the doorknob as Mind turned it to its side, letting the door open as he followed the basic steps.
"How did we never figure this out..?" A quiet voice mumbles.
He recognized this voice. The familiar anxious stance, the small wings..
"Artemis? Is that you?" Mind questioned, stepping out of his room, his robotic legs hitting the wood floor with a small thud.
"Mind! What the heck are you doing?!-" Heart quickly replied, rushing over.
"..I heard a noise." He answered, glancing at Heart. Heart had a panicked expression. Clearly, something was on his mind.
"I, uh.. did, too." He started, glancing over at something.
Mind followed Heart's gaze, looking at..something. He couldn't tell what it was in such a dim light, but it seemed strange. It glowed in the sky, illuminating through space. He knew it wasn't the moon. What could it be?
Tick, tock..
Tick, tock.."..A clock."
