You'd never met the pair before, not once, but suddenly you were being obtained for some odd reason.
The explanations kept flip-flopping, from 'being around a crime scene' to 'littering'. Whatever they said, it didn't explain the real reason the detectives had you locked up in the interrogation room.
"What is your name?"
"(Y/N) (L/N), I told you this three times already."
You groan, hiding your face in your hands, resisting the urge to scream in the blonde's face. Doing that would be an awful idea, but he was pushing it for sure."Yes, but, I have a feeling that's.. Not entirely accurate."
He hesitates
"Well, my partner says so. He's not the brightest-""I'm not what?"
He flicks his eyes to the blonde, who's mouth turns to a thin line."Nothing. I'm going to ask again-"
"If you ask my name one more time, I'm going to have heart failure."
".. Are you mocking me?"
"Are you-"
You quickly stop yourself at the snappy comment. You knew how cops could be.
"Look, it says so on my ID. You already saw it."As they double checked your ID, bag, and even your jacket pockets, the blonde turns to his partner, green eyes filled with a sort of annoyance.
"Lucifer, I don't think-"
"Don't use that name."
He snaps back, and the blonde jumps, nodding.
"Right, uh.. Lu.. L..""L.. Larry."
"I thought it was Lorenzo??"
"I don't know just.. Zip it. You're.. Confusing them."
You stare blankly at the two. Was this some sort of prank show? A joke? Are they *idiots*? You were in the process of looking around for hidden cameras when the dark haired one turned to you again. His eyes were a vibrant color, almost.. Red.
"Where are you from?"
"(Y/C), it says it on my ID."
"Right... How long did you live there for?"
"What are these questions even supposed to be about..?"
You sigh. The two felt like movie characters, nearly. Stupid, confusing, and.. Well, just about everything, really. The blonde stepped forward again, clearing his throat."
"Look, it's relevant to the case. You have to understand that. Revealing any information on our part could cause issues in our investigation.""I need my lawyer."
You replied. Probably should've said that from the beginning. Call Phoenix Wright, I suppose?"I can't let you go just yet."
"That's not how this works! Let me leave, I swear!"
You snapHis eye twitched, and the other shot him a look, as if telling him to calm down.
".. I can't just ye-"
"You have no evidence, no case, no nothing. I just got dragged here and asked about my life story. Are you even a detective?!"
Before his partner could stop him, the blonde swept the entire table away, sending it crashing and breaking into the wall.
"Listen here, you annoying, stupid brat! Are you that damn demon, or not!?"Your eyes widen, and you immediately back up, your head thumping against the wall. No more space to back up.
"Satan! Calm down, NOW!"
The other grabs his partner, growling.
"You just revealed an important piece of information to a potential human!""A potent... What!?"
You yell, eyes flicking between them. They seemed so unnatural. Overly perfect, intimidating and.. Their eyes just felt off. Everything about them did."Look, (L/N), I apologize for my partner's outburst."
"Outburst?! He threw a fucking table like it was a cup!!"
"Yes, well... Look, I believe we owe you an explanation as a form of apology."
Despite protesting, and begging to leave, the two explained their situations.
They're demons from the 'devildom' sent by their leader to track a demon who's slipped away into the human realm and is causing havoc.
That, or they're severely schizophrenic.
They watch you struggle to process what they'd said, all of which you didn't even know was true or not. Though, it explained a lot, despite the very unreal idea of it all.
"Though I can't inform you of my name, I trust that you won't tell anyone. Your life does rely on that trust."
"Lucifer.. And Satan, right..?"
You spokeThe blonde nods.
"They've already heard us speak the names, Lucifer.""Ah.. Yes, I suppose they have. Well, then.."
He eyes them"You're now a newly appointed member of our investigation. You don't have a choice in the matter."
