Before They React: The Introduction Chapter

This chapter contains a lot of P.O.V switching!

The Kokotaim Gang was supposed to be taking a break this week.

After the incident with Captain Vargoba and the arrest of his minions, Commander Kokochi and Admiral Tarung finally approved the gang for their two-week break. The break will start as soon as Boboiboy is discharged from TEMPUR-A's infirmary. Surely, nothing can go wrong, right?

In a place where Everything and Nothing existed at the same time, a figure the size of a doll could be seen typing away on a holographic screen. They paused their typing for a moment. '... They really should've known better than to think they would actually get to rest for once. ' They thought to themself, sighing.

When they clicked 'Enter', a bright flash enveloped the room, making them yell out in surprise. They grumbled in displeasure, rubbing their eyes to try and rub the blinding brightness away. Seriously, who was the smartass that had the bright (ha) idea to make this teleportation code so bright it could blind you??

The figure sighed, looking at the newly knocked-out people that the figure had teleported into the room. They reopened the holographic screen, and a few minutes later, some chairs and couches appeared and were arranged in a circular pattern, surrounding the small projector in the middle of the room.

Thank goodness the screen was so small. The figure could already feel the fatigue kicking in from using this much magical coding with no breaks. Just before they succumbed to the sweet calling of sleep, they summoned some end tables and side tables that were enchanted.

Max woke up, groaning. They rubbed their eyes, trying to stay awake instead of sleeping in for the first time. The soft material underneath them was proving to be a challenge, though.

Their eyes widened. Soft material? Sure, the grasses back at camp were soft, but they weren't ever this soft!

Max shot up into a seating position, eyes looking around in the unfamiliar environment. This was, for sure, not the camp's woods.

Max felt themself go pale. If this wasn't camp, where was their dad?

They scrambled to get up. But when they hear someone groaning, they froze.

Yep, those definitely aren't campers, though some of them do look young enough to be in either Camp HalfBlood or Camp Jupiter.

Max shook themself out of their stupor. They have a father to find and not a moment to waste!

Minutes passed as Max tried to scout the (rather spacious) room to find the familiar ink-black hair. They almost gave up, but then they heard something.

When he woke up in an unfamiliar place, Percy groaned, grumbling incoherently under his breath. Seriously, can he not take a break for once in his damned life?

He was about to get up when he felt something - no, someone - tackling him into a hug. He let out a small "Oof-" balancing himself so he didn't fall backwards from the impact.
