The snow that covered the grassy fields of Welton Academy was beautiful. It is beautiful.

Christmas wasn't something that Welton Academy put alot of effort into celebrating each year. (Although, it would have been nice to do.)

But the students were able to decorate their rooms. As long as they don't... y'know... make a huge mess, keep it small too.

Todd had been sitting on his bed, sort of curled into himself, surrounded by all the little trinkets he had received as gifts from the Dead Poets Society.

The room was quiet. Apart from the one tiny baby bird that was practically destroying its little baby vocal cords, calling for its mother.

It was peaceful. He was alone, with himself, for a little while.

Neil would be coming back soon. He had said that he needed to 'prepare' something.

Whatever that is.

Todd had smiled. His mind drifting to Neil a little.

Neil is pretty.

No.

He's cool.

He's fun.

He's happy.

Neil is pretty.

Yeah.

He's pretty.

His smile is pretty.

His eyes are pretty.

Everything about him is pretty.

Neil Perry is the most prettiest boy to walk the earth.

Todd shifted on his bed, growing anxious as he waits for Neil to come back. He doesn't yet. Not for another 5 minutes atleast.

1 minute passes... Todd sits there patiently, looking at his trinkets again.

2 minutes pass... That baby birds mother has finally come back.

Another minute passes... He can only just hear a door open somewhere far away, it closes again.

On the fifth minute... the doors open again, there's footsteps. It's Neil.

It's Neil. Oh GOD it's Neil.

Todd moves, sitting upright on his bed.

The door opens. It's practically just torn from its hinges.

"Todd!"

It's Neil. It's Neil. It's Neil... It'sNeilIt'sNeilIt'sNeil

Todd looks up at the door. At Neil.

He smiles. He smiles and notices that Neil didn't bring anything.

"I didn't (physically) get you anything for Christmas." Neil had started. You can actually tell he was nervous. Extremely nervous.

Neil walks over to his desk. The typewriter is still on there, still set up. Todd watched him as Neil sat at the desk and set up the typewriter again.

He turned his head towards Todd.

"Come here, quick!" Neil waved him over with a smile.

Todd then moved his trinkets away and stands up. He sits on Neil's bed, in the corner next to the desk Neil is sitting at.

"Okay so, I thought we could make a time capsule." Neil started. "Like- just for us. We can open it when we graduate. Or... or when we have another Christmas together?"

His voice shakes slightly. He's smiling too.

Todd nodded slightly, beginning to smile aswell.

"I'd like that."
