The Healing Touch
Vivek's hand had been paralyzed since the accident, a constant reminder of the hardships he had endured. It was a source of silent pain for him, a physical manifestation of the vulnerability he rarely showed to anyone. But Sadhna, with her quiet strength and unwavering love, refused to let this define him. From the moment they arrived in Rampur, she made it her mission to help him regain the use of his hand.
Every morning, as the first light of dawn filtered through the curtains, Sadhna would gently wake Vivek. She would bring warm oil and, with the utmost care, massage his hand. Her touch was tender, yet firm, her fingers moving with a confidence that belied her own insecurities. Sadhna knew how much this meant to him, and she poured all her love into each stroke, hoping against hope that her efforts would help him heal.
Vivek, deeply touched by her dedication, found himself looking forward to these moments. As Sadhna worked on his hand, he would watch her, his heart swelling with emotion. She was always so focused, her brows furrowed in concentration, her lips pressed together in determination. He could see how much she wanted this for him, and it made him fall in love with her even more.
There were days when frustration would creep in, when the lack of progress weighed heavily on him. But Sadhna never let him give up. She would look into his eyes, her own brimming with determination, and say, "Aap dekhiyega, Vivek. Ek din yeh haath zaroor theek hoga. Hum saath mein hain, aur jab tak main hoon, aapko haarne nahi doongi."
Her words, spoken with such conviction, always managed to soothe the turmoil within him. Sadhna's unwavering faith in his recovery became his strength, and slowly, as the days turned into weeks, he started to believe in the possibility too.
One day, as Sadhna was massaging his hand, Vivek felt something-a faint, almost imperceptible twitch in his fingers. He froze, not daring to hope, but Sadhna noticed it immediately. She looked up at him, her eyes wide with excitement. "Vivek, aapne mehsoos kiya?" she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
Vivek nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. "Haan, Sadhna... kuch mehsoos hua.
"Tears welled up in Sadhna's eyes, but they were tears of joy. She leaned forward, pressing her forehead against his, her hands still holding his. "Main jaanti thi," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "Mujhe pata tha ki yeh din aayega.
"Vivek, overwhelmed by her love and dedication, wrapped his good arm around her, pulling her into a gentle embrace. "Yeh tumhari wajah se hua hai, Sadhna. Tumhare pyaar aur care ne hi mujhe yeh himmat di hai.
"From that day on, Sadhna's efforts became even more intense. She would encourage Vivek to try moving his fingers on his own, gently coaxing him with her soft words and loving touch. And each time he made even the slightest progress, she would celebrate it like it was a victory, her joy infectious and pure.
Their time in Rampur, initially meant to be a honeymoon, became something much more profound. It was a time of healing, not just for Vivek's hand, but for both of their hearts. Each day was a new step in their journey, with Sadhna by his side, guiding him with her love and care.
Vivek, who had always been reserved, found himself opening up more to Sadhna. He would share his fears and insecurities, and she would listen, her presence a constant source of comfort. They spent hours talking, walking through the village, or simply sitting in silence, their hands intertwined. The more time they spent together, the more they realized how deeply they had come to care for each other.
One evening, as they sat by the river, watching the sunset, Vivek reached out with his partially healed hand and gently took Sadhna's in his. She looked at him in surprise, her heart skipping a beat. "Vivek?
"He smiled at her, his eyes filled with love. "Sadhna, tumne mere liye itna kuch kiya hai... tum meri zindagi mein jo roshni laaye ho, uske liye main tumhara shukriya kaise ada karoon?"
Sadhna, overwhelmed by his words, simply shook her head. "Vivek, aapko theek dekh kar hi mujhe sab kuch mil gaya hai. Mere liye bas yeh hi kaafi hai."
They sat there, their hearts full, the world around them fading into the background. In that moment, nothing else mattered. The love that had blossomed between them was enough to heal any wound, to overcome any obstacle. And as they held each other, they both knew that their bond, forged through love and care, would only grow stronger with time.
