Siren's pov-
The moment I saw Yuhan's face, something stirred within me, a feeling I couldn't quite place. But as quickly as it came, I pushed it away. My life was already a tangled mess of complications; I didn't need another one. Yuhan was a handsome distraction, but not one I could afford. So, I turned to Simen, who had been single for as long as I could remember. She was always flirting, always enjoying herself, never taking anything too seriously.
"Are you interested in Yuhan?" I asked her, trying to sound casual.
Simen's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Why not? Let's flirt with him," she said with a playful grin.
She was intrigued from the start, and before long, she found a way to talk to Yuhan, with a little help from a mutual friend who knew him. I kept my distance. After all, I was already involved with someone else. Whether I loved him or merely pitied him, I wasn't sure, but that was another problem I wasn't ready to unravel.
Simen's pov-
The moment I caught Siren's expression, I knew she felt something for Yuhan. But she was already entangled with someone else, and that's why she passed Yuhan onto me. I wasn't in a serious relationship at the time, so when she suggested I date him, I didn't hesitate.
Flirting was second nature to me, and Yuhan was no exception. He seemed interested as soon as he saw my photo. Why wouldn't he be? I was beautiful, with a face that easily captured attention, innocent and almost childlike. So, when Yuhan approached me and asked if I wanted to date him, I wasn't surprised.
At first, I thought he'd be hard to get, but to my surprise, it wasn't difficult at all. But then doubts crept in. I wasn't sure if I wanted anything serious with Yuhan. So, I turned to Siren for advice.
"I like Yuhan, but I don't want a serious relationship with him," I confessed.
Siren's response was simple. "If you don't want to, then say no. But if you want to take things slowly, say yes and see where it goes. If you start to develop feelings for him, then continue; otherwise, stop."
And so, we fell into a playful, affectionate relationship, though neither of us took it too seriously. Sometimes, Siren would help me talk to Yuhan, using my account when I didn't feel up to it. After all, my interest was fleeting, and I was still talking to other guys on the side. Yuhan didn't notice the difference between Siren and me, even though it was all online. He couldn't even tell our voices apart.
Others pov-
Though Siren had casually suggested that Simen date Yuhan, it was clear she cared about her friend. Siren wanted Simen to stop her endless flirting and finally take someone seriously. But Simen, being Simen, agreed more for the fun of it than anything else. Yuhan, on the other hand, seemed genuinely interested in Simen when he saw her photo. Who wouldn't be? Simen had a beauty that was both striking and innocent, a combination that drew people in effortlessly.
When Yuhan approached Simen, asking if she wanted to date him, she was surprised by how easy it was. She had expected a challenge, but Yuhan was straightforward. Still, Simen wasn't sure if she wanted to be serious. She asked Siren for advice, and Siren told her to take it slow, to see where things went.
In just a month, Simen and Yuhan had built a playful, almost lovey-dovey relationship, though neither of them was truly committed. Siren sometimes stepped in, using Simen's account to keep the conversation going when Simen lost interest. Yuhan never noticed the difference, even when they spoke on the phone—he couldn't distinguish between their voices.
Then, one day, Simen suddenly deactivated her account and stopped talking to Yuhan altogether. She didn't care about him anymore, and the feeling seemed mutual. Yuhan, ever the playboy, didn't mind. He was too self-centered to care about anyone but himself.
