In the luxurious first-class cabin, shortly after Duncan and Courtney win the "Bride of Cakenstein" challenge. The others are in economy, leaving Duncan and Courtney alone in the plush surroundings. The plane hums steadily, but the tension between them is palpable.

---

Courtney sat in one of the plush first-class seats, her gaze fixed on the darkening clouds outside the small window. The cabin was quiet, the only sounds coming from the faint hum of the airplane and the occasional clink of glasses in the distance. Duncan was slouched across from her, his usual smirk absent as he picked at his chipped black nail polish, avoiding her gaze.

After what felt like an eternity of silence, Courtney finally spoke. "Duncan," she started, her voice steady but cold. He glanced up, his green eyes meeting hers for a brief moment before flickering away again.

"What?" he mumbled, though he already knew this wasn't going to be a conversation he wanted to have.

Courtney took a deep breath, steadying herself. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the small skeleton head he'd given her back in *Total Drama Island*, a token of their connection—a symbol of what she once thought was love. She turned it over in her hands, the edges smooth from years of being held and handled.

"I kept this," she said, her voice thick with the weight of unshed tears. "All this time, I kept it. Even when you hurt me, even when you betrayed me, I held onto it because I thought... I thought it meant something."

Duncan's eyes finally locked onto the skeleton head in her hand, the reminder of better times twisting something inside him. "Courtney, I—"

"Don't," she cut him off sharply, the fire in her eyes momentarily flaring before dimming into resignation. "Don't say anything. I don't want to hear it. Not now. Maybe not ever."

She leaned forward, her movements deliberate, and placed the skeleton head on the table between them. "This used to remind me of us, of what we had. But now, it just reminds me of how stupid I was to think you could ever change."

Duncan opened his mouth to protest, but the words died on his lips. What could he say that would change anything? The truth was, he had messed up—big time. He cheated on her. And this... this was the consequence.

Courtney stood up, her posture rigid, the image of composure even as her heart broke all over again. She didn't look back as she walked toward the exit of the cabin, leaving Duncan alone with the small skeleton head and the heavy silence between them.

As the door closed behind her, Duncan picked up the tiny trinket, his hands shaking slightly. It was just a piece of plastic, something cheap and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. But in that moment, it felt like the weight of his biggest regret.

He leaned back in his seat, staring at the skeleton head, realizing that for the first time, the silence between them wasn't filled with anger or tension—it was filled with the finality of something truly lost.
