Grabbing her hair in frustration she crashed her phone into the wall causing it to break.

"How can she do this to me? To her own daughter?"

Yasmin had never imagined this day would come. Her fingers trembled as she held the crumpled letter in her hand.

The official notice that her family was relocating to New York. The words seemed surreal, like a distant dream she couldn't escape.

She sat on the edge of her bed, her mind reeling with the weight of the decision she just had made.

Across the town, Jimin was waiting for her at their favourite café, unaware of the storm brewing in Yasmin's heart.

The sun dipped below the horizon as Yasmin walked through the door of the café.

Jimin's face lit up with his usual warm smile, but Yasmin's expression was somber, filled with the heaviness of her impending farewell.

"Hey" Jimin greeted his eyes bright with excitement.

"You look like you've been thinking a lot. Everything okay?"

Yasmin took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. "Jimin, there's something I need to tell you"
She paused, struggling to find the right words.

"My parents... they've made a decision to move to New York. And... we have to go"

Jimin's smile flatered, confusion and concern clouding his features.

"New York? But... what about us?"

Yasmin's voice quivered as she continued.

"I... I can't stay here. My parents have already made all the arrangements. We've been planning this for a while now. And... I don't know how to say this, but we can't be together anymore"

The room seemed to shrink around them, the chatter of other patrons fading into an indistinct murmur.

Jimin's face went pale, his eyes wide with shock and hurt.

"Yas no. You can't just..."

"I don't have a choice" Yasmin interrupted softly. "I tried to find a way, but I couldn't. I'm so sorry, Jimin. I wish there was another way"

"So, that's it? Just like that?"

Yasmin nooded, her own tears slipping down her cheeks. "I don't want to hurt you. This is tearing me apart too. But... I have no choice"

They spent the rest of the evening in painful silence, the unspoken words hanging heavily between them.

As Yasmin stood up to leave, Jimin reached out, grabbing her hand one last time.

"Promise me something," Jimin said,
his voice breaking. "Promise me you'll remember what we had."

"I promise" Yasmin whispered, her heart shattering. "I'll never forget."

They embraced one last time, the warmth of their shared love mingling with the cold reality of their separation.

Yasmin walked away from the café, the steps heavy with the weight of goodbye.

And that was the worst day of her life...

Or atleast that's what she thought.
