Chapter 3 Secrets Revealed

As the days turned into weeks, Elara and Kai's relationship deepened. They spent countless hours together, exploring the woods, swimming in the lake, and simply enjoying each other's company. Elara found herself falling deeply in love with Kai, drawn to his enigmatic charm and his unwavering devotion.
However, there was a growing sense of unease in the back of Elara's mind. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. Kai seemed to be hiding something from her, and she was determined to find out what it was.
One evening, as they were sitting by the fire, Elara decided to confront him. "Kai," she began, her voice trembling slightly, "there's something I need to know."
Kai looked at her with concern. "What is it, Elara?"
"I know you're hiding something from me," Elara said. "I can feel it."
Kai hesitated for a moment, his eyes darting away from hers. Then, he sighed. "You're right," he admitted. "There's something I haven't told you."
Elara's heart pounded in her chest. She had known it. "What is it?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
"I'm a werewolf," Kai replied.
Elara's eyes widened in shock. She had never heard anything so absurd in her life. "You're kidding," she said, her voice shaking.
"I'm not," Kai replied, his expression solemn. "It's the truth."
Elara sat there in stunned silence, trying to process the information. She had always believed in the supernatural, but she had never thought she would encounter a real werewolf.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" she asked, her voice filled with hurt and betrayal.
"I was afraid," Kai replied. "I didn't want to lose you."
Elara looked at him, her eyes filled with tears. "How could you keep this from me?" she asked. "We're supposed to trust each other."
Kai reached out and took her hand. "I know," he said. "I'm so sorry. I just didn't want to hurt you."
Elara pulled her hand away, her heart aching. She felt betrayed and confused. How could she trust someone who had lied to her for so long?
