Why me?

Chapter 2

Me and Hagrid went all around Diagon ally and i found it so fascinating that is world exsisted and no one realsied it. I kept stopping to look into shop windows to see what was there till i realised that this would require money. I turned to Hagrid.

"Hagrid im assuming i would have to pay for all this but how am i going to do that if they dont take normal pounds im guessing" i ask him in wonder. He looked at me for moment before turning around and pointing to this big white building behind him.

"Gringotts is the place to get it and dont worry your money can be transferred into our worlds coins" he said with a smile and his smile oddly gave me comfort in knowing that my father might not actually be able to find me here.

"Ok but i dont have much on me" i stuck my handing in my pockets and rumaged around and found that i had about £20 or so in coins and thats nit gonna be enough for all the supplies im going to need.

"Oh the great thing about our worlds money compared to yours is that the transfer rate is much higher so for us what you got is a lot more than what you think" Hagrid told me as he gestures to my hand of money.

He started walking to gringotts and i tagged along behind him trying to keep up with his rather large strides. We got to gringotts in seconds due to Hagrids large strides and me having to jog a vouple of times just to keep up with him.

As we entered the building there were desks leading up to another desk but it was at the end if the hall in the center of the room. I peered my head up a little ti see who or what is behind the desks and what i saw shock me. These small beast like humans i would say like goblins. I faltered in my steps a little as i looked around the room and fell into Hagrid.

"Oh dont worry about them Ember those are just goblins nasty things but quite helpful at times" He said in comforting words as if he coukd tell that i was slightly uneasy about seeing them. I mean it helped but i stayed quite close to Hagrid jusy jn case.

We made it to the desk at the end if the hall and i allowed Hagrid to speak as i wasnt quite sure if they could understand us or not.

"This is Ember Mai Rose and she would like to exchange muggle money for wizarding money" he abruptly stated to the goblin that sat behind the desk in front of me. The goblin leaned over the desk to peer at me for a moment and i saw that he was wearing a name badge that stated that he was 'head goblin' whatever that means. He looked back at Hagrid and gave a slight nod to him.

The goblin got fown off of his chair and waddled on iver to another part if the building. Me and Hagrid followed closly behind him tikk we reach a safe. Hagrid nudge me to tell me to give him my money, and i pulled out all the change i had in my pockets and placed it on the table infront.

The goblin scooped it off the table and what seemed to have been thrown down a bin. And he placed 4 leather brown bags of wizarding miney infront of me.

"Here you go €215 gold coins" the goblin stated and waddled off, im assuming back to his desk.

Eventually me and Hagrid finally left the building and started to go into different shops of things thag he and the letter told me i would need.

After about an hour of two of wondering around i had lost track of time and Hagrid wondered off somewhere before telling me to go to ollivanders to get my wand im presuming thats the stick ive seen people carrying.

I wondered around for a few minutes and i could not find the shop so i eventually went up to this girl with curly is hair she was standing around with two other boys . I tap on her shoulder and she spun around, she squinted her eyes at little at me as if she was examining me.
