"Students listen up! Today we get a new classmate, please be nice to him." As soon as the teacher finishes their sentence, a boy enters the classroom. His appearance catches my attention instantly. Silver hair with a hint of light blonde, carefully styled making them look almost flawless. Dark brown eyes piercing out through his light hair. His clothes picked out perfectly, fitting together nicely. His voice absolutly mesmerizing.
"Uhm... hey, my name is Austin Nightingale" As he talks I noticed his hands fidgeting trying to keep him calm "Hope we get along"
My eyes are like clued to him as he walks towards his seat that is at the table next to mine. I never had someone make my heart pound this hard against my chest and he's just a stranger.
"Urgh, this is stupid" I mumble under my breath. "am I this lonely that I fall in love with anyone now??" I ask myself, while I lean my head against the palm of my hands. I take one last glance over to him, before looking back forward again, to the Teacher who is currently talking to another student infront. I feel like this teacher is only nice to his favorites.
I roll my eyes and my gaze wanders over to the window beside me. I watch some couples eating together, which doesn't make me feel better being single. I rest my head on my arms, pouting.
"I need to find a girlfriend soon..."
For the rest of the class I continued to look out of the window, watching a few birds past by. Some were green, others blue. One even sat down on a branch next to my window, but everything I did to try, not to think about him, didn't work, since everytime I look a little higher I could see his reflection in the window...
9:30 am
Finally the break I've been desperatly waiting for. I take my things and leave the class, almost forgetting my Backpack in the rush of getting away from him. I take a deep breath as I arrived at the hallway, which fills itsself with people rapidly. I push by some people, before locating my friends, Christian and Aaron.
I decide to put my stuff into my locker, before walking over to them. Casually greeting them with a "hey"
"Lindsey!" Aaron shouts my name with a bright grin on his face features like always, as if its chiselled onto his face, showing off his dimples. Like he never heard that its allowed to not smile for once. My eyes narrow as I take in his look today, He already looks at me expectant.
"Did you color your hair? seriously?" I ask confused with a hint of amusement. Its weird seeing him in any hair color other than brown.
"Hell yeah, Blonde fits me right?" He says proudly, while pushing his hair back with his fingers.
"I said, he looks even gayer now", Christian mentions, which makes me chuckle. Aaron stares at us threatening. If gazes could kill, we both would be dead by now.
"NOBODY needs YOUR opinion dumbass!!!"
I could already feel the tension between them thickening and as I guessed they start fighting like the all time usual married couple. Before I could Interrupt, my eyes return to Aarons new hair color. Why does this remind me of the new one...
Then as if summonded someone taps my shoulder, making me snap out of my day dreaming. I turn around only to see a familiar face with the silver hair. Its him again. He holds his books inbetween his arms and presses them against his chest. At the sight of him, my heartbeat increases, but this time it makes me feel frustrated and angry. Why does my heart do this to me. The pressure of him infront of me and my friends watching over my shoulder makes me feel anxious like I never did before. I just couldn't let him do this to me, so I blocked his way even more, a smirk playing on my face. He looks up to me and I could already tell he's getting nervous just by the look of his eyes.
"Is something wrong?" Austin asks, his grip tightening on his books. My eyes linger on his books, one suspiciously looking like a diary.
"Just wondering what you've got there nerd", those words coming out of my mouth without me controlling it, it seems like its already muscle memory. I hope this feeling will vanish soon.
Chrisitan and Aaron, who cover both my sides, are cleary amused by the way I handle the situation. I choose to take it a step further.
"Maybe we should have a look, shall we?" My hands reach out to grab one of his books he was holding.
"H-Hey give it back!" He tries reaching out for the book, but I hold it up in the air where he can't reach. I grin down at him and then my gaze wanders over to the one I've taken and notice it was a math book
"urgh, a math book? don't you have anything more entertaining?" I roll my eyes and toss it back to him, making him unable to catch it. I didn't plan to keep him up much longer, but while he tries to pick it up from the ground, Christian sneaks up to him and snatches another book of his. Christian and Aaron chuckle a the scared expression on Austins face, as he noticed it was his diary they snatched.
"And what's this one?" Christians smirk widens as he flips through the pages.
"Stop, give it to me!!" I could hear a hint of anger in his voice now and see how Aaron holds Austin back from stealing the book back from Christian, while looking over Cs shoulder curiously.
"and whats written in there?" Aaron asks excitedly.
As I watched the scene from the side, I could see tears welling up in Austins eyes, making my smirk die down a little.
Austin keeps begging them to give back his book and obviously they didn't listen, instead Christians grin widens even more as he reads through the diary entries. "ah, well, what do we have here huh?", he says, his voice filled with mocking sincerity, "Oh so sad, you precious plant died?" Christian chuckles teasingly as he watches Austin, who is on the edge of tears. Suddently Aaron grabs the diary from Christian hands. "Hey!" Christian yells. "Its my turn now" Aaron says and flips through another set of pages. He laughs out loudly. "Damn, you write some sad stuff in here!"
He starts reading out particulary personal parts of the entries. I watch whats happening, my head begins to spin as the turmoil builds up inside me. Am I supposed to step in...? But it would make me... Before I could step in, another guy, taller than me, steals the book from Aarons. I look at him suprised like Aaron and Christian do. The guy gives back the book to Austin, putting up a charming smile.
who the fuck is that?? Does he think he's the hero here?
I glare at him as he talks to Austin, on Austins cheeks roll down a set of tears. Once he has his diary back, he runs away from us. My eyes following him.
Christian and Aaron exchange confused looks, before holding back the tall guy from leaving. Probably to start a fight. I take both of their wrists and take them with me. "Come thats enough" I say and drag them behind me. I could feel the heavy gaze of the tall guy on my back. As I was around the corner I take a deep breath and look over to my friends. "Who was that!?" Aaron sneers. "he ruined our fun".
I sigh "you both are like little kids..."
I hate this guy already.
