The emptiness of a destroyed world was getting to Cross, sure whenever Ink visited he had a break from nothing but Chara, but after their arguement he doubted Ink would come back. He waited in the void, no time, no space, just empty white void, enough to make any Sans crazy.

Laying on his back, Cross tried to tune out Chara, who was suggesting they leave the empty whiteness and go wherever that other gray kid wanted them to go to. But Cross refused, he only wanted his world back, and if he couldn't have it, he'd slowly die in the place it used to be. How long has it been since Cross last ate? A week, a month, or maybe even an hour. It was impossible to tell.

The only colour, anywhere were Cross's drawings, Chara's red eye, his red eye and his red scar. There was more white then black. Black would be comforting. Any colour would be comforting. anythigg! ANYTHING! Even that blue string... wait, blue?

Cross sat up and looked at the blue string and seemed to appear from the sky (if you could even call it one). It hung there like a cat toy waiting to be played with. "Don't, it's a trap." Chara warned. Cross, despite his curiosity and need for something, listened. "Good." He murmured whne Cross layed back down.

For what felt like a few hours the string stayed there, taughting Cross. Sitting there unmoving.

"Chara." Cross addressed him. "I know you think I'll go for it, but-"

"I know." Chara interrupted. "You're too stubborn."

Maybe ten minutes later, or a day, the string went towards Cross, it was too unexpected and too soon for Cross to teleport away. His and Chara's soul was pulled out and the string wrapped around it, Cross couldn't move. The string started to pull them back where it came from, into a different white void. A place that had even more blue strings over head, with souls intertwined in them. Cross's soul beat faster. Chara's eyes were wided in fear.

Laughing came from somewhere above, but Cross didn't know where yet. The laugh sounded weird however, as if the sound was buffering... or glitching? Definitely incomplete.

Chara and Cross looked around, searching for the person laughing. "There!" Chara pointed, only by squinting Cross saw someone swinging using the blue strings, it was probably the middle of the base, seeing how concentrated the stings were there. The strings around their soul started to move towards the swinging, laughing man. More strings came down, lifting Cross off the ground until he was face to face with the man holding their soul hostage.

They studied eachothers faces. The skeleton's had the strings on his fingers, and from there it led to the blue markings on his face. The inside of his skull was glowing red while his bones were pure black, his eye lights were three different colours, one just being white and the other was yellow and blue, and his eye sockets were two different sizes. His clothes weren't standard for a Sans, his clothes had stitchings on it. And that wasn't even taking in the fact he was glitching.

Cross danglled infront of him as he smirked. "Hello Puppet, my name is Error." He introduced himself.

"Cross."

"Hm?" Error hummed.

"My name is Cross, not 'Puppet'." He said. "For future reference."

Error chuckled, "Whatever you say, Puppet." His smile seemed genuine, which put Cross and Chara more on edge. "We're going to have alot of fun, me and you two." Cross and Chara exchanged a glance. Error noticed. "Oh yeah, of course I know of your human, I'm looking at your soul right now." He tightened the stings, Cross tried to not show pain.

"Whatever you do, just make sure he doesn't kill us!" Chara yelled at Cross as he cluctched his chest.

Cross tried to think but it was difficult with the pain from his soul. Until. "I'll spy on your enemys." He offered. Error loosened his grip, looking interested. "Yeah. I'll be a spy. Someone like you must have some enemys. I have royal guard training, and I was top for the stealth courses." He hoped that'd make Error reconsider.

The strings around Cross's soul broke from his hand but stayed wrapped around it. "Deal." Error said. "Once a month you'll report back to me, but oh, where should I put you..." He wounders allowed, while he rambled about who to send Cross to, Cross tuned him out.

Looking over at Chara, he seemed to be feeling better. "Good thinking," he said. "I would've prefered freedom, but this works too." Cross nods in agreement. The strings that held Cross up turned into a swing for him to sit on.

"OH! I KNOW!" Error shouted in glee. "I'll send you to Nightmare! I needed a spy there anyways." He waved his hand and the string swing broke under Cross he fell on his back and rolled to minimize the pain. Error slowly descended, when at the bottom he spoke. "Now, I'm going to send you back to where you came, and all you have to do is be miserable enough to get Nightmare's attention!"

A portal opened under Cross and he fell back down into the endless white void of his destroyed AU. He wasn't anywhere near the stuff he had made with Ink. Everything started to hit Cross like a title wave. He lost his best friend, then sold his soul to someone, only to lose everything he owned, and all after he lost his word and was told he'd never get it back. He sobbed, thinking about everything that has happened.

His tears hit the ground, making a small, pathetic puddle at his knees.

The sound of a viscous slime came from behind Cross. "Seems like your not happy. I can feel it." Cross turned around and saw a black goopy monster with four tentacles and one bright teal eye. "Hm, you're really negative. I assume this is your world, right?" Cross nods. "Good, good." A tentacle went around Cross. "If you join me, I could help you get whatever you want."

"Even my world?" Cross asked. The goopy mosnter shrugged, but the possibility was better than Cross having nothing. "What's your name?"

The goopy monster smiled. "It's Nightmare."

Chara smiled. "It's the mosnter Error wanted us to watch! This is perfect!" Cross couldn't agree more.

Nightmare opened a portal and took Cross into a world that was mostly dark. No white in sight. Nightmare gave Cross a tore around the building the were portaled into. It seemed to be a castle based on how big it was and Nightmare telling him they had three towers. Eventually, Cross heard laughter. Three other Sanses were there, one with a red scarf, one with a crack in his skull, and one with a red target over his chest.

"Team, meet the new guy." Nightmare said. "Intorduce yourself."

The one with the scarf rolled his eyes. "He's just gonna say 'Sans', we al-"

"My name is Cross."

The scarfed Sans looked away in embarrasment. "Nevermind..." He grumbled.

"I'm Killer, this is Horror and Dust! Nice to have ya newbie!" Killer seemed cheerful and and he was loud.

Horror waved and Dust sat there covering his face with his hood and scarf. Cross took note of this, it could be useful information for Error.

Nightmare then lead Cross to a room, and left for the night. Cross cried himself asleep.
