Schlatt's P.O.V.
"Really? Why? I don't wanna know my fucking future." I scoffed. "Why not?! Come on, I dare you dude. I DARE you." Ted begged. "No, absolutely not." Currently Ted, Tucker, and I are at the mall because Ted needed to go clothes shopping and decided to string us along. As we were looking for forever 21 Tucker pointed out a 'free psychic readings' sign and the two have yet to shut up about it.
Ted frowned, "Don't make me pull out the big guns." I quirked an eyebrow, amused. "The big guns?" He crossed his arms."I double dog dare you." Ted spoke harshly, Tucker gasped dramatically. "Now you gotta do it man." I smirked and blew air out my nose.
"Fuck. I cant argue with the double dog dare." Ted pumped his fist in victory and high-fived Tucker shortly after.

"I can't believe I'm doing this." I grumble, looking at Ted and Tucker as they stare back with smug faces. I roll my eyes and enter the psychics office. Inside is an empty room with a floor mat and coffee table. The coffee table has many candles scattered across it and a small bell in the center. I look around confused but quickly find a sign that says 'please sit down and ring bell for madam Qweeny.'
I walk over to the mat and hesitantly sit down. I ring the bell and stare at the door that leads to what I assume is a back room. Minutes pass and nothing happens. I ring the bell again. "The fuck is this woman?" I mutter, looking down at my phone. "Hello." Someone suddenly speaks, I practically drop my phone as my whole body jolts and my gaze whips to the woman who's now sitting in front of me.
"Fuck!" I sighed. "Language sir, please." She responds calmly. "Oh- sorry." I mumble, Madam Tweedy or whatever the fuck, clears her throat. "You're fine, let's do that again. Hello, I'm Madam Qweeny. You are?"
"Schlatt." I reply. "What brings you to my services?" She asks, moving her long black hair away from her face. Her scarily light green eyes stare at me. "I uh- saw one of your signs for a free reading."Qweeny raises an eyebrow, "That's all?"
I nod. "No, you want something else." She accuses. "Do I?" I ask, sounding a bit rude. "You're having trouble finding love are you not?" She blurted, which I'll admit took me by surprise. I've had feelings for a couple girls but they all didn't like me back and the most recent date I went on was horrible. I've never spoken about it before but I did genuinely have a moment where I really felt like I wouldn't have any luck when it came to finding love. How would Tweedy know that though? No. I still call bull. Everyone who comes to a psychic probably has love problems, I'm sure of it. "Yeah actually." I respond, trying not to sound surprised. Tweedy holds out her hands. "Do you mind?" She asked, which I assume meant she wanted to hold my hands. "Uh- no I don't mind." I awkwardly rest my hands onto hers. Her skin was strangely cold.
She slowly closes her eyes. "Being fully open and honest with you, based off of how your path is going so far. It seems you won't be able to find love."
"We'll you're blunt, aren't you?" I huffed, Tweedy stayed silent before continuing. "This can be changed if you'd like?" She offered, I tilted my head. "Changed? Like you'll help me find love?" I questioned, Tweedy opened her eyes and let go of my hands. "Yes and no, what I mean is I can influence your future, fix your path a tad bit to get you on a track to find love and maybe even more." She explained.
I won't lie her words were intriguing and I found myself convinced. "Okay go ahead." I blurted. "It'll be an extra 20 bucks for me to influence your future." She smirked. "Wow really?" I scoffed, Tweedy nodded, unbothered. I sighed and pulled out my wallet, hastily grabbing a crumpled 20 and passing it to her. As soon as the money hit the desk Tweedy grabbed my hands again.
I watched curiously as she hummed. "Ah I see, yes that'll work. That'll work perfectly." She whispered, I gazed confused. Tweedy suddenly opened her eyes and let go of my hands, standing up. "Alright Schlatt, you are good to go."
"Woah woah wait, you said you'd influence my future." I quipped. "And I will. It will take time but I can start altering your path tonight. Which I must do alone, with the right materials." She explained. Really? 20 Bucks for her to hold my hands and mumble random shit to herself for less than a minute. What a fucking waste. "Thanks for the reading." I sighed, getting up and heading towards the door.
"You're welcome. Good luck on your new path." She retorted, in a tone that I can't tell if it was innocent or condescending. I simply nodded and speed walked away. On the outside sat Ted and Tucker in two massage chairs. Ted was chattering away while Tucker scrolled on his phone. As soon as Ted spotted me his smile grew drastically. "Soooooo, how'd it go? You gonna die soon?" He teased.
I gave a blank stare. "Apparently I'll never find love. Come on, let's get the fuck out of here." The words came quickly out my mouth but I honestly shouldn't have said anything because Ted began bombarding me with questions about my "reading" and acting as if I really won't ever find love.
"I mean what did she mean by that? Like you'll never love? or you will but it won't last? Like what-?"
"Dude I don't know, just drop it. The whole fucking thing was stupid, she's a fake." I groaned, Ted squinted. "Fine. Sorry for caring." He mumbled the last part, I rolled my eyes.
