Eleanor story‼️‼️‼️

Hiya howdy! I'm Popcornchiken/Jinx, I'm currently working and creating an indie animation series called 'Eleanor'(which is what this story is about!).

Eleanor is a teenage girl who despises the real world and much prefers to sleep, why? Because she always dreams about the packed park, a park-neighbourhood that all of Eleanor's friends live in!! (There is also lore about many things and it is planned to be a horror/angsty story but we don't talk about that-)

Now that you have a slight understanding of Eleanor, I'll explain why I wrote this story in the first place(if you're not interested in this you can just skip to the actual story if you wanna 😅).
My school hosted a creative writing competition around the time I started working on Eleanor. And by coincidence the competition had a theme, the theme was 'community' which is a topic that plays a fairly big role in Eleanor, so I decided to participate and write a story for Eleanor! ^^

I resulted in second place out of the idk how many stories that were also submitted which I'm very very happy about! So I've decided to share my achievement here since I've already been writing and sharing a bit about Eleanor here already ^w^ !!

Okay, I won't waste any more of your time. Onto the story...~

I rise from my slumber, rubbing my eyes as I stretch and yawn. Today is a brand new day and boy am I excited! Everyday is a fun day living in the 'packed park', there's only six of us here so I don't get the name 'packed park', even if I did create it. I jump out of my bed and slide on my fluffy slippers. Still in my pajamas, I climb down my red treehouse, taking one big whiff of the fresh air as I land on the grass. I wonder what my friends are doing now?

I walk around the little pond in the centre of our park(neighbourhood?), trying to spot if anyone else is awake right now. It's 9 in the morning, Jelly and Zir Znugglez wouldn't be awake now, Jelly usually sleeps in and says she needs her 'beauty sleep'. And Zir Znugglez basically does nothing but sleep.

We don't live in a big environment, no one usually goes past the forest. Well, there is that one big hill with a tree on top that's just outside the park. I'm pretty sure that's where Paige and Jelly had their first date, maybe even their last date? No, that was at the flower field at the bottom of the hill.

"Mornin' there El" I heard that recognisable Texan accent. Turning around I face Bailey. Bailey always says that danger is her middle name, and it is true, Bailey Danger Eve. She usually does things that are considered 'dangerous' for the fun of it, the first time she did something dangerous was when we found a snake in the pond. She jumped into the water, strangled the snake, and somehow survived. "Great morning Bailey!" I replied, every morning, afternoon and night in the 'packed park' is a great one. "It's a very purty mornin', you got anythin' planned today?" Bailey questioned as she fluffed up her black leather jacket. "No, not a whole lot. You got any plans?" I replied. "Nah, maybe I'll ask Orble if he wanna hang or sumthin'" "Yes! I'd love to hang out with you Bailey!"

Just then, Orble came down from his treehouse which we were just in front of! "Ah, mornin' Orble" Bailey said as I waved to Orble. "Morning Bailey and Eleanor! Zir Znugglez is still sleeping" "No surprises there" I chuckled. I assume Orble and Zir Znugglez are best friends, but most of the time when I see them together, it's just Orble watching Zir Znugglez sleeping in a place they fell asleep at(most of the time it's on grass, and Orble sometimes gently pokes them with a stick for whatever reason).

"Good morning!" Orble, Bailey and I turned to meet Paige walking up to us, who was carrying a sleeping Jelly bridal style. "Morning!" We greeted Paige. "I see Jelly didn't want to get up" Orble pointed out, "yeah, I'm trying to get her into the habit of getting up earlier in the morning." Jelly snuggled up closer to Paige in her sleep and Paige grinned at her lovingly. "Don't worry sugar, I gotcha" Bailey grinned mischievously, pulling a tiny megaphone out of the pocket in her jacket, stepping closer to Jelly and Paige, leaning over Jelly, putting the megaphone close to her lips, and... "WAKEY WAKEY JELLY!!" Bailey screamed into the megaphone, causing Jelly to wake up screaming and jump out of Paige's arms scared, hitting the ground with a thud!

"What the hell, Bailey!" Jelly squealed, getting up and brushing herself off angrily. "Haha! Cmon Jelly, it was funny to see ya fall outta ya girlfriend's arms" Bailey laughed. Jelly crossed her arms, still mad, Paige wrapped her arms around Jelly's waist comfortingly, she whispered something into Jelly's ear which made Jelly more relaxed(I think), Paige gave Jelly a kiss, saying "I love you" after. "I love you too" Jelly responded, more relaxed yet still mad.

This park I live in, with all these welcoming and unique friends I have, I feel so lucky to live in our community. Everyone is so supportive and accepting. In this area, I feel like I actually belong. I close my eyes, taking a deep breath of the air before

I woke up.
