My attacks seems to be effective as my scythe was able to cut through his tough skin, managing to cut his right arm off. I quickly jump and land on the ground, smirking.

I make eye contact with Soshiro "nice work, (name)."

"Tsk, you think that was enough to defeat me?" The kaiju suddenly taunts, it's eyes scan through the battlefield as he looks for Soshiro. As it spots him, he quickly attacks Soshiro, throwing punches as Soshiro tries his best to dodge them.

"Shit, why does it looks like the kaiju's enjoying the fight"

Soshiro's POV

"Okonogi, open gate 3" I say through my earpiece, Okonogi responds with a yes, as I quickly make my way towards the gates.

I pass through the gates as they quickly open, but the kaiju quickly catches up as it appears on the gate, gripping on the side.

I move away as falling debris almost lands on me. "We opened the gate for nothing! Gates are expensive, you know!"

I look at the gate, where the kaiju previously was, but I was unable to locate it, my eyes widened. "Where is he?"

"No one can fight this well against me. Not even most kaiju. I'd love to eat you and that little girlfriend of yours and use both of you for sustenance."

"Shit!" The kaiju moves faster than ever before, quickly moving from a building's walls to infront of me in less than a second.

I didn't manage to dodge as I'm thrown onto a building, dust and smoke quickly surrounding me.

"Shiro!" I hear (name)'s voice call for me through the distance "shit, I forgot she's in this battle too, I need to.. save her"

"You're really strong you know?" The monster's other arm slowly falls to the ground as I've managed to slice it off.

"Sorry Okonogi, it's an emergency. I didn't have time to ask permission."

"Combat Power Maximum Release, 92%."

"Let's begin this neutralization, shall we?"

"Oh? He already regenerated it's arms" I smirk. "You picked a fight with the wrong guys, we'll be winning this one."

"I'll make sure of it, I can't let her get hurt, again."

We both run, heading towards each other as I manage to get the first attack. I was able to slice one of his arms off again, giving me an advantage.

He punches the ground, smoke quickly blocking my sight. He suddenly appears infront of me, clearly using the smoke to his advantage.

I dodge his attacks, slicing him again and again in between his shells.

"Huh?" The kaiju says audibly. "Hoshina-Style Sword-Slay Technique Number Two, Cross Slasher."

"Number Four, Wild Slahser!" I do another attack as the kaiju attempts to punch me again.

I manage to slice his head off and all of his limbs, quickly taking a step back.

My eyes widened, the kaiju has already regenerated.

I move away to defend from his attack, slicing his regenerated arm into multiple pieces.

"Huh?"

"Your core's smaller than expected." I dive down from a lamp post, preparing another attack. "Number Six, Eightfold Slasher."

I manage to slice through his whole body. I hear Okonogi and everyone from the operation room celebrating.

My eyes widened once more "we're not done yet!" The kaiju enlarges as it bubbles up, growing 5x larger.

"He grew? Was I unable to slice his core since it changed positions?"

The bubbled up kaiju lets out smoke onto the training ground. I act quickly as I find where (name) is.

"An ultra-high temperature vapor." I find her laying on the ground, assuming she's inhaled some of the vapor.

I get her gas mask from her suit as I place it on her, picking her up and carrying her bridal style and setting her somewhere far from the kaiju.

"I'll come back for you, I promise." I softly kiss her forehead, but I quickly run back to the kaiju.

"Fortitude 9.0!" My eyes widen once again, the kaiju throws another punch at me, I manage to dodge.

I run towards his body as I climb up his legs "Technique Number Three...Return Slasher!" I jump really high from the air, dropping down onto his body as I leave slice marks all over him.

"My blade won't go through! This is why I hate giant classes."

"I'll tire him out and hit the core in the back with one go. That's my only option!" I suddenly feel my heart burning as I grip my chest tightly.

"You've reached the drive limit." I cough blood out. "An overheat?"

"Over 10 minutes have passed since maximum release. It's dangerous to continue!" Okonogi speaks loudly through my earpiece.

The kaiju attacks again, I quickly dodge through it, but with a lot of effort. "I have a minute max."

He sends more attacks as the kaijus he sends explodes. "Self-destruction?"

I get up and run, running towards a building and going inside, running up the flight of stairs.

I jump out of a window "Number Six-"
My eyes widened. Multiple eyes appear on the kaiju's body, managing to catch me. The kaiju attacks for me, shooting me through multiple buildings.

"It hurts.."

"Drive limit reached. Maximum Release has been disabled."
