Kiyu's eyes focused on what seemed to be some kind of intervention from another being. He stood up from the dark floor. He dusted his pants as Licht in her gothic lolita fashion now had appeared.
The Judge of Dead was silent for a while as he stared at Kiyu and Licht. "Do you know who I am?" His velvety voice rang out."Not exactly." Kiyu scratched the back of his head. He tilts his head at the individual sitting on the throne. He asssessed the black cloak. The pale features that were apparent, hands, feet, neck and the lower jaw. So the full face was hidden by darkness.
Kiyu widened his eyes, remembering that he was once alive, then that nuclear explosion had taken place. "Wait wait. I'm dead?" Kiyu began to realize it. "Oh yeah... I assisted in that bionuke creation" he fell to his knees, realizing why he and Licht were here.
"No. It was our fault." Licht tried to reassure him."You judge dead souls. Is that why I'm here? Judge of Dead?" Kiyu slowly raised his gaze.
"Stand." The judge of dead said as Kiyu now stood up and looked at the judge of dead.
"I'm not here to judge you. I'm here to tell you. You helped mankind to quell the threats of undead." He opened his palm, a flow of crimson energies accumulated at his every digit. What gathered into the space was a small figure of crimson that showed the red caped lady. A replica.
"She saved my Licht. And my brother's lives before. Yet I let myself get blinded by everything Erik told me." His eyes looked downwards for a moment, then lifts to look at the Judge of Dead. "Are you going to banish me to the depths of hell as I deserve?" Kiyu asked.
"No. You created your own punishment. You doomed mankind despite helping in the advancement of technology. Thus you and your people will be cursed in this immortal burden you carry." The judge of dead's index finger directs at him."Wait. Can you at least tell me. Who really is the red caped lady?" Kiyu asked before the Judge of Dead would snap his fingers.
"You will find out once you meet her." So the Judge of Dead snapped his fingers, instantly like being sent away to where he had been thought dead with Licht.
Kiyu felt all his arms and legs fastened by some kind of bandages. His every muscle tensed and expanded, it pushed his strength further to rip through the cocoon of bandages. He saw his bandages were all black as Licht too had emerged from her cocoon."What are we?" Licht held her own face as she looked towards a mirror. Her face, skin, hair, all had regrown. But her pale complexion was all anemic. The same was said for Kiyu.
Then there was Lehm who was leaning on one of the columns. "So you're finally awake." Lehm folded her arms as she approached Kiyu. She lifts a brow seeint dark trails in his eyeballs, crackles of red in his irises."Emily did mention you having dark matter and hawkin radiation." Lehm placed a hand on her bottom chin.
"Your eyes!" Licht pointed out and handed Kiyu a handheld mirror left on the altar.
"How come my eyes are different?" Kiyu asked Lehm.
"Well. I'm not exactly the best at knowing things with a glance. So we should search for Emily." Lehm opened the doors.
Everything Licht and Kiyu saw in their eyes, all kinds of zombies lurking in every street and rooftop.Lehm passed a notebook to him. "Its mandatory you know what kind of variants we have." Lehm said.
Kiyu's digits opened the notebook and widened his eyes at the findings of mindless zombies and intelligent zombies.
"Is that the maximum classes of zombies?" Licht asked as she pointed at the notebook as the three walk down the streets.
"I didn't write that. It was mentor Emily that did. The red caped lady." Lehm answered her.
"So what does that make me?" Kiyu asked.
"Ma'am Emily tends to refer your destiny as the Zombie King. But you need to earn that right first before we can acknowledge you as our king." Lehm answers.
"So the last type of intelligent zombies." Licht blinked briefly."Relax. All of you." Lehm pointed her finger at growling husks and brines on the streets.
"Right. It was my fault why the bionuke even happened. I still assisted in that." Kiyu realizes exactly why the zombies had a subtle hostility towards him.
Lehm soon stopped infront of a cartwheel carriage with no animal attached to it. "Hop on." Lehm points at the carriage.
Kiyu noticed something, he already had dark clothes on, trenchcoat, pants, and black boots.
Licht already was wearing her gothic lolita outfit..they stared at the pane of glass for while then got on thr carriage.
