Five returns home from his shift, he approaches his house and opens the door to find Seven on his couch. Five narrows his eyes as Seven looks at Five with an innocent smile.

"Hey, black licorice, what're you doing on my couch?" Five said as he tossed his keys on the table, "Shouldn't you be at your own house? It's late."

Seven has her usual happy-go-lucky personality. "Well, I heard you had to get called back to work for an emergency, and I know you'd be tired, so I thought I'd keep you company when you came back. I even made you a drink."

There's a spot next to Seven on the couch, and on the table beside it is a full wine glass. Five audibly exhales as he sits down next to Seven. "Thank you, I appreciate you doing this for me.." He holds the wine glass between two of his fingers and spins it around a bit as he speaks. "Zero called me to the scene and I was expecting something simple that just needed to he informed to the smartest one," He sips his drink. "But no, it-" He pauses. He smacks his lips a bit and slowly turns to look at Seven with a 'What did you do this time?' face.

"...Seven?.."

"Yes?"

"What is this drink exactly?.."

".........fruit punch-"

"SEVEN-" Five lightly nudges Seven

"SEVEN-" Five lightly nudges Seven. "What? I made it myself and if I put it in a normal glass you probably wouldn't have drank it."

"I still would've, the drink doesn't matter about the glass it's in. As long as you made it and it's not poison, I'll drink it. Except if you make soup, I could sense Four's soul flying to the sky-" Seven nods. "Okay. Enough about the punch, tell me what happened. Seven lies so her head is in Five's lap and her feet are crossed on the armrest. Five hesitantly wraps an arm around her and continues to spin the glass in her fingers.

"The Reciumpay Emerald got stolen from Two's mansion by the Algebandits, and I didn't think it was that bad. Until I actually got there.." Seven's smile fades a bit, sensing something eerie. "What happened?" Five sighs. "Well, when the Algebandits were escaping through the window, one of them didn't bother to aim their grappling hook and shot a pedestrian through the head, Three specifically.." Seven's eyes widen.

"Three pedestrians?"

"What- no-"

"Three heads?!"

"No! Three the Algebralien!"

Seven's jaw drops a bit, now no longer trying to be funny. "Oh..."

Five sighs once again and continues to speak. "Yeah, One seemed pretty bummed. They've been best friends since forever, I can't imagine how she must feel. She tried to shake it off, but I know something's up. And I think I found something by his body that'll make her feel worse.." "Now you have me curious." Seven tilts her head. Five shows Seven an object, and her eyes widen once more. "Woah..."

"Yeah, I feel that I should tell her, but I gotta figure out the right time. I don't wanna say it while it's too late, but also not so close to his death.."

Seven can easily tell how stressed Five is and gently holds his hand. "I know you're in a tough spot right now, and that you wanna fix this, but try not to overwork yourself. You're not at work right now, you're at home. So just relax while you still have the chance to.."

Five's face heats up a bit, he nods and speaks softly, "Thank you.." He finished his drink and places the empty glass on the table. They slowly doze off to sleep peacefully, with Seven lying in Five's lap, Five with his glasses off his face, and their hands holding one another. Their synchronized breathing and warm bodies against each other almost make them forget they've lost someone. Almost...
