" Knew you had it in you " George Weasley gave her a half shoulder squeeze as he hurried to his Herbology class.
The weather that day was foggy, Diana could barely see the forbidden forest from where she stood . The scarf around her neck nearly covered her nose as well. Hands cold, she kept them hidden in her pockets.
" Flobberworms again " Hermione interrupted her thoughts. The foggy breath coming out of her mouth each time she complained.
" I say it was brilliant " Ronald Weasley decides to comment sometime between the class, " Wish I was there to see their faces "
" Ronald ! you shouldn't encourage this type of behavior , I'm simply appalled that Diana did it !"
Diana ignored Ron and Hermione's bickering and moved to work with Harry. They barely spoke with each other. Polite nods and smiles it was all what they did. There was no need for anything else.
For Harry, Diana was only a friend of Hermione and Neville. Another house mate. Ever since the whole Flint incident he began to notice how much she looked like someone he knew or still knows. It was as if the name would vanish when it reached the tip of his tongue.
" What do you think about Hogwarts ? " The question slipped as soon as he thought about it. The far away gaze in her eyes did not go unnoticed by him. He didn't expect an answer but she replied anyway.
" It's home or closer to whatever home feels like " Diana always imagined Harry to be too cool to talk with her. Atleast that's what her father made her to believe.
" I know . How about the Slytherins ? "
Harry did not break eye contact with the new witch. Maybe she's still unhappy about how it turned out ?.
" Bunch of pig heads "
A snort and a shake of his head, and he muttered " true, true ". Far away , the dementors glided in the foggy air. Both of them became silent once again, the weight of their past too much on them.
small chapter, just cause.
