The whispers became a constant presence, a chilling soundtrack to Becky and Freen's life.  They were no longer just fleeting shadows or unsettling dreams, but a tangible force, a malevolent energy that seeped into every corner of their world.

One night, as Becky lay in bed, unable to sleep, she felt a cold hand brush against her cheek.  She jolted awake, her heart pounding in her chest, but there was no one there.

"Freen?" she whispered, her voice trembling.

There was no answer, only the sound of her own ragged breathing.

Then, she heard a whisper, a chilling voice that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at once.

"You can't escape the promise," the voice hissed.  "It binds you, just as it binds her."

Becky felt a wave of terror wash over her.  She knew that voice, that chilling rasp.  It was Sze.

The next day, Becky confronted Freen, her voice laced with fear and uncertainty.  "I need to know," she said, her eyes pleading.  "Tell me everything about Sze.  About the promise."

Freen hesitated, her eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and fear.  She took a deep breath, her voice trembling as she began to speak.

"Sze and I met when we were young," she said, her voice barely a whisper.  "We fell in love, a love that was passionate and intense, a love that consumed us both."

"But," Becky interrupted, her voice tight with apprehension, "what about the promise?"

Freen's eyes filled with tears.  "We made a promise," she said, her voice breaking.  "A promise of eternal love, a promise made under a full moon, a promise that binds us together, even in death."

"How?" Becky asked, her voice trembling.  "What kind of promise?"

Freen took Becky's hand, her touch sending a jolt of electricity through Becky's body.  "It's a pact," she said, her voice barely audible.  "A pact made with a dark force, a force that demands loyalty and obedience."

"What happened to Sze?" Becky asked, her voice laced with fear.

"She died a year ago," Freen said, her voice cracking.  "But she's not gone.  She's bound to me, her spirit tethered to mine by the promise we made."

Becky felt a wave of terror wash over her.  She had no idea what she had gotten herself into, but she knew that this was only the beginning.

As the days turned into weeks, the whispers became more frequent, more insistent.  Sze's presence grew stronger, her influence more insidious.  She started to manipulate events in their lives, causing arguments, fostering misunderstandings, and creating a constant sense of unease.

One night, as Becky and Freen were walking home from a dinner date, they were suddenly surrounded by a group of men.  The men were rough and menacing, their eyes filled with a dark, predatory glint.

"You're with her," one of the men said, his voice a low growl.  "You're both in trouble."

Becky and Freen tried to run, but the men were too quick, too strong.  They were surrounded, trapped, their escape blocked.

Just as the men were about to attack, a cold wind swept through the alley, and a chilling voice filled the air.

"Leave them alone," the voice hissed.  "They belong to me."

The men froze, their eyes wide with fear.  They turned and fled, disappearing into the darkness.

Becky and Freen stood there, their hearts pounding in their chests, their bodies trembling with fear.  They had no idea who had saved them, but they knew that it was Sze.
