BETWEEN LOVE AND WAR :: hwang hyunjin

In the afternoon, we got 2 classes nothing really much and it was pretty calm. I was putting some books in my backpack, when i hear a cough coming from next to me.

"what?" I ask.

"let's.. go to um.. the room.." hyunjin asks unsure.

"why?" I ask confused.

"i don't know, just like that" he says., he saw my hesitant face and says "you know what just forget.." he says before going. I try follow him because bro what kind of sport is he doing ? He's walking like someone is chasing him.

I finally reach to him. "let's go" He first seem confused then smile softly, the walk was awkard like really and it was even worser when all the students were seeing your movements one by one.

"So, um.. I wanted to apologize.." He starts.

"For what?" I ask kinda confused.

"For the lunch accident."

"Oh.. It's okay, sorry for calling you a dick."

"I guess we're not that different." He shrugs.

"Ew no." I say with a disgusted look, while he chuckles.

When we arrive in our room, he goes directly on the couch and turns on the TV, while i got a phonecall, it was an unknown number?

"Hello ?" I say

"Oh hi, Seoyun right? it's the guy behind you in class, you know the new york boy.." He says.

"Oh right right how did you get my number ?" I ask confused.

"I asked some random guys... anyway wanna hang out or something ?" He asks.

"Umm..." But before I could respond, i feel my phone getting out of my hands.

"She's busy." Hyunjin says before hanging up.

"What the fuck was that ?" I ask clearly annoyed.

"You should thank me i saved you. Tsk 'new york boy' " He responds rolling his eyes, is he jealous ?

"When does that even incules you ? It's really none of your buisness." I say coldly.

"Whatever." He says clearly annoyed. I should be the one annoyed not him!

He goes back to the couch and i remember that the last episode of my favorite show is like NOW. And hyunjin is watching the TV.. I can't watch it in my laptop, the chanel is only available in TV...

"hyunjin..." I start hesitating for a second, praying for him to say yes...

"what?" He turns to ask.

"Listen, I really have to watch TV right now, like it's the last episode of my favorite show! You know when the main character has to choose between saving her bestfriend or her home town, if i don't see it i will get spoiled tomorrow!" I almost beg.

"What will happen if i say that's really none of my buisness?" He asks teasing me.

"Just give me the remote! You had it all for you yesterday." I say sitting in the couch next to him.

"And if I don't want to?" He asks getting closer, for fuck's sake.

"I will do this." I say before getting on top of him and start tickling him.

In a split second, she was on top of him, her hands reaching for his sides.

"Hey! What-" Hyunjin's attempt to protest was cut short as Seoyun's fingers found their way to his sensitive spots, her tickles sending him into fits of laughter.

"Stop, stop," Hyunjin managed to gasp between laughs, his face turning a shade pink from the mixture of surprise and laughter. Seoyun, taking no notice of his pleas, continued her attack on his most ticklish areas, a victorious grin on her face.

"Will you give me the remote if I stop??" Seoyun asks, not stopping with her arms working.

Hyunjin, regaining his composure, saw an opportunity to retaliate. With a sly grin, he shifted his weight, reversing their positions, pinning her down on the sofa, their faces now only a few inches apart.

Seoyun's heart skipped a beat, her wide eyes locked with Hyunjin's intense gaze. She could feel every exhale of his breath on her face, and for a moment, everything else faded into the background.

But then, the moment was shattered as Seoyun, regaining her wits, playfully pushed him off and grabbed the remote, changing the channel to her awaited show.

"Get off of me you jerk!" Seoyun shouted at him, before he chuckles and went to his room, probably to take a shower and why do I care i hope he drowns in it.

I continue watching my show until it's finally finished and i hear my phone ringing, it was our groupchat! There were only the 8 of us and since we were watching the same show we would chitchat after eveyr episode and now that it's the last, it's gonna be very long...

I unlocked my phone and entered the chat, bracing myself for the whirlwind of messages and reactions from everyone. Sure enough, the chat was already alive with our friends' messages popping up one after another. I couldn't help but smile at the familiar chaos.

"What a finale, seriously," I typed into the chat, immediately getting bombarded with replies from my friends.

I decided to not really respond, yes it wasn't my type but I was kinda tired and has tons of homework while it's just the first of the year?? I hate school so much.

"You guys have fun gossiping," I typed in the chat, knowing my friends would understand that I was taking a break to focus on my studies.

With a sigh, I pushed myself up from the sofa and made my way over to my room, more specifically to my desk. Pulling my chair, I sat down and opened my pencil case, ready to tackle the ever-increasing pile of work.

Studying and studying, I immersed myself in equations, history facts, and research, hour after hour slipping away. While Hyunjin was not paying attention to school. I wasn't paying attention to him neither lmao.

As exhaustion crept in, I began my night routine - washing my face, brushing my teeth, and changing into comfortable clothes.

The cool night air brushed across my skin as I lowered myself into bed, the sheets comforting and inviting after a long day of studying. I switched off the bedside lamp, the room enveloped in darkness.

My eyes closed, and my thoughts slowly faded as sleep washed over me, pulling me into a deep and calming rest.
