Chapter Two

- Bread, peanut butter and marshmallows -
"Five...?"

I got upstairs, to my old room. As I opened the door I saw my bed, white blanket and pillowcase.

I closed the door behind me and and looked around my room, there were some black and white drawing on the wall.

I laid down on the bed and I looked at the black ceiling, my room wasn't that much colored but I liked it, it was the only place were I could stay without being forced to use my powers if didn't wanted to.

I closed my eyes and I started remembering all the best memories that I had in this room with my siblings, I remember when Klaus and I used to hide the drinks so that our father wouldn't find them, or the times when Five used to come into my room at night and talk for hours untile we weren't tired.

Five...
it was 17 years now that he had gone, I always thought that he was dead, there was no other reason, he would've came back, he would've came back for me...I always hoped.

As I laid on the bed I heard a loud noise, coming from the garden, it sounded like a storm, I got up and I walked out of my room, as I saw Allison leaving hers.

"Did you hear that?" She asked looking confused at me.

"Yeah, I did" We stayed quiet a couple of second when we heard another loud noise, we both got downstairs and we met with the others.

We got outside and we saw a big, it seemed to be a blue portal, that covered the whole sky on top of the Academy.

"Oh..." Diego said as we got all out.

The wind was howling and there were big thunders.

"What is it?" Vanya asked

"Don't get to close!!" Allison grabbing Vanya's hand and dragging her back.

"Yeah, no shit" Diego said, we were all looking at the portal

"Looks like a temporal anomaly, either that or a miniature black hole, one of the two" Luther said.

"Pretty big difference there, Paul Bunyan" Diego said when behind us Klaus ran towards the portal.

"Out of the way!" Klaus yelled.

"Woah, Woah, Klaus!!" I said as he got in front of us and threw a fire extinguisher.

"What is that gonna do?" Allison asked.

"I don't know!! Do you have a better idea?" Klaus said.

The portal started to get bigger and bigger when more thunders came down.

"Everyone get behind me!" Luther said.

"Yeah, get behind us" Diego said and we all looked at the two annoyed.

"Yeah, like you're going to solve the situation" I said as Klaus got in front me and placed a hand in front of me so that he could protect me.

"I got you baby sis!!" Klaus said as all of us didn't took their looks away from the portal.

We started seeing a man appearing from the portal, when the man fell down he became shorted and fell down hitting the ground.

The portal disappeared revealing the grey sky, the thunder started fading away as we all looked confused at the guy who started moving trying to get up.

We walked closer to the boy and he got on his knees and looked up at us confused and surprised.

"Does anyone else see little Number Five, or is that just me?"

I was shocked as I saw Five, after all these years he was back, here, right in front of us...in front of me... "Five...?" I whispered to myself

He looked at his clothes that looked big on him.

"Shit" He said

"What's the date? The exact date?"

"The 24th" Vanya said

We were all in the kitchen, Klaus was sitting on the table with legs crossed, I was at the edge next to him, Diego was in the other said leaned on the table, Vanya and Allison on one site and Luther at the other.

"Of what?" he asked again.

"March" Vanya answered.

He sighed as he grabbed some bread, peanut butter and marshmallows and started making a sandwich.

"Good..." He said sighing

"So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" Luther asked as we all looked at Five confused.

I was still processing the fact that he was back and alive, and still young, as me actually...

Five didn't answer, I looked at Klaus and he looked at me, he gestured me to talk to him and I looked confused at Klaus shaking my head.

Luther got up and walked closer to Five "It's been 17 years"

"It's been a lot longer than that" Five walked closer to Luther before space jumping behind him toward a shelf.

"I haven't missed that" Luther said annoyed.

"Where'd you go?" Diego asked.

"The future. It's shit, by the way." Five answered searching something in the shelf.

"Called it" Klaus raised his finger looked at all of us.

"I should've listened to the old man, you know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." He said before looking at Klaus "Nice dress"

"Oh, well, danke!" Klaus said proud of himself.

"Wait, how did you get back?" Vanya asked as Five continued making his sandwich

"In the end, I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exist across every possible instance of time"

"That makes no sense" Diego said

"Well, it would if you were smarter" Five said not looking at him and make me smile a bit.

Diego stood up but was blocked by Luther "How long were you there?" Luther asked.

"Thirty-five years, Give it take"

We all were shocked by his answer, Luther and Diego set back down as we all looked at Five surprised.

"So, what are you saying? That you're 48?" Luther asked confused

"No, my consciousness is 48, apparently, my body is now 15 again"

"Wait, how does that even work?" Vanya asked confused.

"Delores kept saying the equations were off, bet she's laughing now."

"Delores?"

"Hmm..." He grabbed the newspaper in the table and looked at it "Guess I missed the funeral"

"How'd you know about that?" Luther asked

"What part of the future o you not understand?" Five said annoyed "Heart failure, huh?"

"Yeah" Diego said

"No" Luther added

I continued to looked at him surprised when I finally spoke up "Why'd you didn't came back sooner?"

He looked at me in the eyes and stayed a couple of seconds silent.

"Good to see you too"

I said quiet as Klaus looked at me with eyebrows raised, I rolled my eyes at him.

Five looked back at the newspaper "Nice to see that nothing changed" He started walking away

"Uh, that's it? That's all you have to say?"

"What else is there to say? The circle of life" Five completely left the room and left us all shocked and confused.

"Well...that was interesting" Luther added.
