It's been about seven years since the rivalry started. Not just any normal one either. One where people are either silent or silenced.

There are three types of beings, one which is your normal by standard human, two is the supernatural people who have different types of powers depending on the region they come from, or three a vampire.

The rivalry started as small take outs of anything different from humans, such as vampires with vicious tendencies and the supernatural beings.

There never has really been a reason I fully understood for the humans doing this, they just slowly started turning on us calling us monsters instead of the allies they once took us for.

Where we were welcomed but now hushed away and slaughtered with no remorse for just being something we cannot control.

To my understanding, unlike my mother and siblings, I have no powers. I am the disappointment because of that.

Although that does mean one day they might bring me to the surface. I haven't seen the light in about 6 and a half years.

My family built a shelter for us to live in as if it would make a huge difference in the end. We have not seen daylight in years, we are sustained of endless supply of food since my mother's powers basically allow her to teleport objects to her so she is able to get food and other supplies whenever.

And although she is careful about it, about all of this it does make me wonder. Why are we still down here?

Why can't we hide above ground, the world used to be fun. We could go out and eat ice-cream and do normal things, go out places.

But now all you really can do is sit inside all day and hope one day you will see the light again. My two younger siblings were too young to remember that life.

Too young to understand the grasp of what is just out of reach out there. What might not even be a threat anymore.

The light, not these stupid electrically lit light bulbs. The skylight the trees the ground for which I am inevitably stuck under.

It's so unfortunate how everything I want is there but I can't reel it in. I have an older brother Liam, he left two years ago. I am not sure what happened to him.

I don't know if he is still alive, but I do however remember him telling me he'd be back for me eventually and that he needed to make sure we would be safe or at least me since I have no powers, I have no use being down her when I could be amongst those beasts that we call humans.

The world is a cruel place for making me genetically similar to those humans.

I look up from the wall I was staring down at when I hear my mother shriek. All of a sudden, the place feels nothing but of warmth.

I run over to the main area out of my room to make sure everything is alright. Suddenly I am gaping at the man I see in front of me. "Liam!" I shout and runover to him to hug him.

He exchanges my excitement and hugs me back somehow squeezing tighter. I look up at him and watch as his expression shifts to a more serious note.

As the seconds go by the smile on his face lessens.

"What is it?" I manage to get out trying not to choke on my words. He sighs before backing up. He has different features than I do, I look more like my dad, which I definitely hate, though I have no control over that fact.

Liam looks like my mother with thick light brown hair and russet brown eyes. His features are defined but I try not to stare because I realize he looks so much different from the last time I saw him but almost the exact same at the same time.
