After y/n had tagged the weapon, he made all the clones dissipate as the humanoid lizard hopped off the hero's back. y/n turned around and put a hand on the back of his head.
y/n: I guess that means we win, right? No hard feelings?
All Might simply gave a hearty laugh.
All Might: Hah! Of course not. I expected as much from someone like you, y/n.
y/n: 'Someone like me? What does he mean by that?'
After y/n, All Might, and Green went back to the surveillance room, it was to start the Team Battles.
Out of all the team battle matches, two of them gave the onlookers the greatest impression.
First was Team A vs Team D. Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka vs. Katsuki Bakugou and Tenya Iida. Although it was more of a battle between Bakugou and Midoriya, the destruction caused by the two almost destroyed the building. Luckily, due to Midoriya's planning, Tean D pulled through and captured the bomb. However, it was a bittersweet victory as Midoriya had to be taken to the Nurse.
After both sides were back in the surveillance room, All Might declared Iida the MVP of the round.
All Might: Now, could anybody explain why?
Y/n and Yaoyorozu raised a hand in sync. They both looked over at each other before y/n motioned Yaoyorozu to go first.
Yaoyorozu: Because Iida adapted to the situation at hand. Bakugo acted on his own accord due to his grudge against Midoriya.
Yaoyorozu paused, signaling y/n to give his thoughts. Y/n cleared his throat.
Y/n: Speaking of Midoriya, he caused a massive amount of damage to himself as well as the building he and his teammate were in. If that punch had hit a vital beam or other part of the structure, the building could have collapsed on the others, which would have likely killed one of them. It was rash at best. As for Uraraka, she let her guard down, gave away her position, and misdetermined the threat she was in. If the weapon was real, her last move would be precarious.
The class went silent which was broken when All Might cleared his throat.
All Might: I was going to say it was because he was in character, but that works too.
The other one was Team B vs Team I. Shoto Todoroki and Mezo Shoji vs. Tooru Hagakure and Mashiro Ojiro. Their plan was for Hagakure to use her invisibility to catch the other team by surprise while Oijiro guarded the bomb. However, Todoroki completely froze the building and captured the bomb without even letting the other team leave the room.
After all the battles were over and the rest of class 1-A was grouped up outside the entrance of Ground Beta, All Might addressed his thoughts to the class.
All Might: That was a great first day of Hero Training. Aside from Young Midoriya, there weren't any major injuries.
All Might turned around and began stretching.
All Might: Now, I have to go see Young Midoriya and give him the report. Go change and go back to class!
All Might sped off, kicking up dust as he did. As the dust settled Green coughed.
Green: Sheesh. It's not like he's going anywhere.
Later, after y/n had finished changing, he walked back to class. Turns out he was the last person to finish. Just outside the door to the classroom, Green leaned against the wall. Green spotted y/n and waved him over.
Green: Dude, you missed it! Everyone else was talking about us! About how we beat All Might! It was wild!
Y/n chuckled.
Y/n: I'll take your word for it.
When y/n opened the door to the classroom, his classmates swarmed him, introducing themselves and bombarding y/n with questions. Eventually, all those speaking all at once began to overwhelm y/n to the point where it was starting to give him a headache, until y/n's savior, a bandaged Izuku Midoriya walked in. All of a sudden, everyone was on him and began to do the same as they did with y/n. Then, behind Midoriya, Uraraka walked in with Kaminari. As soon as Uraraka set her eyes on Midoriya, she rushed over to him. Uraraka questioned Midoriya about his wounds, to which he responded that his physical energy was a little low. Furthermore, Midoriya asked if anyone had seen Bakugo. Green spoke up to say that Bakugo was about to head home and that Midoriya should hurry up if he wanted to talk to his childhood friend. Midoriya thanked Green and bolted on down the hallways.
Later, everyone had gathered near the hallway windows to see if Midoriya could catch up. Eventually, Midoriya caught Bakugo as he was about to leave the school grounds. Bakugo turned around to face Midoriya and listen to him. Unfortunately, the rest of the class couldn't hear their conversation, but based on their body movement, it seemed clear that Bakugo was upset. Out of nowhere, All Might dashed past Midoriya and put his hands on Bakugo's shoulders. Bakugo then seemed to shoot his teacher a mean look before All Might let him go, then resumed his walk.
Green: So... any takers for an explanation as to what the hell just transpired down there?
Y/n shrugged.
Mina: Don't look at me.
Uraraka: The fated battle between rivals.
Y/n: 'What is she talking about?'
