taehyung sat in his sleek, modern office, the dim light of the evening casting shadows across the room. his attention was fixed on the tv, where the music awards show was in full swing. It was unusual for him to be so engrossed in a tv broadcast, let alone a k-pop awards show, but tonight was different. his gaze was locked on jennie, who was on stage performing in a tight, sexy dress. the camera lingered on her curves, and taehyung found himself unable to look away. jimin lounged on the couch, snickering as he watched taehyung's intense focus."i can't believe this," jimin said, shaking his head. "kim taehyung, the man who claims he doesn't watch tv, is practically drooling over a k-pop idol."
taehyung didn't look away. "i'm just evaluating her potential. you know, for business purposes."
jimin raised an eyebrow, grinning. "business purposes, huh? because from where i'm sitting, it looks like you're doing some very personal research."
"personal research?" taehyung said, trying to sound aloof while his eyes followed jennie's every move. "I'm looking for someone to endorse our new product."
"right," jimin teased.
taehyung's eyes remained fixed on jennie, but his lips twitched in an almost imperceptible smirk. "if she's as good as she looks, she might be worth considering for more than just a product endorsement."
jimin laughed loudly. "yeah right, that's why i heard you book her for a private show. so tell me, what is it like, assessing her performance up close?"
"i appreciate the...details" taehyung said, trying to sound nonchalant as he shifted in his seat. "her ability to captivate an audience is impressive."
"captivate an audience? more like you're captivated," jimin quipped, leaning forward with a mischievous grin. "i didn't know you were into that kind of shows, paying a girl to have a one night stand? is that even you? girls are throwing themselves to you and you literally paid that insane amount of money for just a girl?"
taehyung tried to maintain his cool, though a hint of a smirk tugged at his lips. "she isn't just a girl"
"how about that idol you used to fuck with, what are you gonna do with her?" jimin asked, grinning widely.
taehyung barely reacted, still glued to the screen. "nayeon was never my concern"
━。゜✿ฺ✿ฺ゜。━ jennie sat in the boardroom of her agency, her usual composed demeanor slightly faltering as her manager paced back and forth, excitement evident in their voice.
"we have some big news," the manager said, beaming. "you're being considered for a major endorsement deal."
jennie's curiosity was piqued. "oh? for which brand?"
the manager glanced at her with a knowing smile. "golden lotus corporation. they want you to be the face of their new alcoholic beverage line."
jennie's eyebrows shot up. "golden lotus? that's huge. but... what's the catch?"
the manager's smile widened. "the catch is that you'll be meeting with their ceo himself to discuss the details."
jennie's heart skipped a beat. "and who might that be?"
"kim taehyung."
jennie froze for a moment, processing the name. the private show she'd performed was still fresh in her mind. she'd felt a strange mix of intrigue and disappointment when taehyung hadn't made any overt moves, but now, hearing his name made her shiver.
she thought he had no interest because it's been days and she didn't heard anything from him but now that he wanted to have a personal meeting with her, something inside her felt like fireworks, a mix of anticipation and unexpected desire.
"so, when is this meeting?" jennie asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
"tomorrow," the manager replied. "you'll be meeting him at their headquarters. we're working on finalizing the details, but i wanted to give you a heads-up."
jennie nodded, trying to hide her nerves. "okay. i'll be ready."
as the manager continued discussing the specifics of the deal, Jennie's thoughts were preoccupied with the upcoming meeting. the prospect of seeing taehyung again, and under such different circumstances, was both thrilling and nerve-wracking.
she couldn't deny the surge of excitement at the thought of facing him again. despite her initial disappointment at the thought of being just another endorsement deal, she found herself eagerly anticipating their meeting, unable to shake the feeling that this encounter might lead to more than just business.
