"Boys, are you ready?" Our manager, also my father, Alden asked.
"Yeah, let's go!" My bandmates, Keefe, Jason (a character made by me) and Dex shouted in unison.
It was early in the morning, and the sun was barely rising, and yet the four of us, members of Legacy Lights, were already up and about.
Today was the big day. We would finally be meeting the girls in Moonrise, whom we would be collaborating with for our international tour. (I'm not sure if the Lost Cities is an international thing... But okay. ;))
Soon, we were prepared. I grabbed my guitar case, popped a mint, and smoothed my hair. We then hopped into our Lamborghini and my dad drove to the recording studio, with me calling shotgun and the others squeezed in the back.
~
When we arrived at the studio, there were already 4 girls there. They were about 20, the same age as me, and three of them were scrolling through their phones. But the one at the front, who seemed like the leader, was staring into space intently. Although I couldn't see her features through the frosted glass, I could already make out the perfect figure. Long legs. Hair cascading down her back like a waterfall.
Wow, she's pretty.
We pushed open the door to the recording studio and Alden strode over to the girls, holding out a hand, "Good morning, girls. I'm Alden Vacker, the manager of Legacy Lights. It's a pleasure to collaborate with you for our upcoming tour."
The leading girl, who's long bangs were covering her eyes, walked forward confidently and smiled, "You too."
It was only until she walked towards me did I get a good look at her.
My breath caught, who knew anyone could be so beautiful?
She tossed her hair a little, its silver tips glittering in the light. Blinking lightly, her long lashes hung gently over those silvery-blue pupils.
"My name is Linh Song." The girl beamed at me, her smile like a ray of sunshine. She gave a little wave, and looked at me expectantly.
"Uh-I-I'm Fitz Vacker." Surprisingly, I stuttered, and I could feel my cheeks turning pink when Linh raised a delicate eyebrow a little.
We kinda stared each other for a while, until my dad broke the silence.
"Let's play a game of Icebreakers to know each other better."
*during the game*
"My favourite flavour of ice cream is butterscotch."
When it was my turn, I said, figuring that nobody could judge that.
Linh exclaimed, "Wow, that's mine too!" She winked at me, causing me to turn red.
Stop it, Fitz! I scolded myself. This is serious, you should always put pursuing your career as top priority!
It was Linh next.
"What's your favourite creature?"
Linh tilted her head sideways, "I would say it's a murcat, as I have one named...Princess Purryfins." She giggled, seeming to be embarrassed.
"Remember how exasperated Tam was when you bought her, Linh?" One of Linh's bandmates, Arielle, nudged her shoulder lightly.
Linh broke into a smile, looking more at ease. "Yeah, he was sooo pissed because I chose the sparkliest, prettiest murcat, and named it such a cute name."
Who is Tam? And why does Linh look so happy?
Just then, a bold thought popped into my mind, "Hey Linh, do you want to be friends?" The moment that came out of my mouth, I clapped my hands to it immediately.
"Never mind, that sounds cheesy..." I muttered, face turning warm. Why in the name of mellowmelt did I say that??
Linh shook her head, "No it doesn't! Of course I'll be your friend, I want to get to know your band better!"
I let out a relieved sigh, she didn't think that I was childish! Not that it mattered though...
When my dad looked at his wristwatch, he exclaimed, "Oh, look at the time. We have to get to practice immediately. Let's take a vote. Who wants to compose the songs first?"
Keefe and Jason raised their hands immediately. I was about to do the same when I noticed that Linh hadn't done so. For some reason, my hand then fell limp at my side.
Looking around, Alden said, "Three votes. Who's in for making up a dance routine and then adapt on the way?"
Linh, Arielle and Selene nodded in unison.
"And Fitz?"
I nodded furiously, "Sure, I'm okay with anything."
Alden clapped his hands and agreed, bringing us into another room with dance barres.
A/N: I feel like that chapter kind of sucked, as I didn't really know what to write for the introductions. BUT, it has hints of Fitz's feeling towards Linh, so I guess it's not THAT bad. Apart from shipping Tiana, I am sooo in for Litz <3)
