"Our grandfather was biased when it comes to naming their grandchildren , Right brother!!!" Ratri commented while hiding behind deeda .
"Deeda , why don't you also fix ratri's mairrage. Look she is just about to become an adult within few years. It's better to look in advance just in casee~"Harry said while glaring at ratri .
"No-No deeda !, there is no need for me. Look! Big brother and brother harry are still unmarried why don't you try to bring a sister-in-law for us" Ratri try to manipulate deeda with her talks.
"Hmm~ that's right! If Amaya going to get married in future then We also need to bring a Daughter-in-law in this house." Deeda completely agree with ratri . Harry grab his forehead in disappointment.
"A-Aashiiiii, here take it" kartik pass me a glass of water. I was also feel thirsty. Suddenly ratri turn around and look at face. Somewhat I sense a bad feeling about it.
" Aashi di, Do you have a boyfriend or are you engaged to someone." I question me with sparkling eyes and everyone's gaze turned upon me. The water I was drinking choked up inside my throat and I started coughing.
"Kuhh-kufh-kuhh~ , I don't have any of them." I replied while coughing. Deeda rub my back to make me comfortable.
"Are you serious? You never had a boyfriend even with this face." Ratri looking at me in surprise .
"No – never~, I never had a boyfriend before and as for fiancé I am glad that there is no talk about my marriage until now. I just want to build my career" I replied and Ratri somewhat unhappy with my answer.
"And what about you brother harry, do you have someone you like" Ratri asked to harry who is busy in his phone.
"NOOO~"A direct reply come from his mouth.
Suddenly Aunty appear in front of us .She is with some old ladies as soon as deeda looked at them they started talking between themselves .Aunty send harry to greet the guests. Ratri also disappear from that place. Only kartik and I was left behind. Suddenly those aunties started to asked about me and my family. I notice kartik was glancing on the ice counter side so, I take my chance and left that place with kartik.
"Kartik , I wants to some ice cream. So I just Back in a few minutes." I said with a awkward smile and grab kartik's tiny hand. I take a ice cream bowl and give it to kartik.
"How did you know that I want ice cream." Kartik asked to me innocently.
"You know what, I have a secret!!!!!....Amaya also don't know about it " I said while bending down to meet his eyes level.
"SECRET~! I swear I never tell anyone about it ,So please tell me." Kartik said with the pleading eyes.
"Ok , I will tell you after the engagement but before that we need go to Amaya."I said and kartik instantly agree with me. When we reached to Amaya , she some what exhausted with her fake smile.
"YOU TRAITORS! You leave me all alone." Amaya said after seeing me.
"DRAMA QUEEN~, Here is your ice cream . Now tell me am I not more useful than your fiancé "I said while give her a bowl of ice cream and sitting besides her .
"Yeah~Yeah~!,You are more useful than someone who is invisible on his own engagement".Amaya said while eating ice cream. This is an arranged marriage, Groom side want to make Amaya their daughter-in-law. Amaya also find them decent and agree to get married, she's somewhat take a liking of her fiancé .
"Amaya!, where is your fiancé "Suddenly ,harry's voice interrupted in our conversation and he appeared in front of us.
"Bhai, Don't you know 'read the room' before speaking" Amaya get frustrated with his question.
"Why! I am just asking." Harry replied nonchalantly.
"Some time I think maybe grandpa have a third eye, otherwise how did he know that a legend monkey name suits on a unborn child" Amaya said sarcastically.
"Amaya ki bachi, Repeat it again one more time." Harry said while twisting amaya's ear. Unfortunately aunty arrive at a right time and saw them teasing eachother.
"What are you doing !, At least look at your age before behaving like this " Aunty said while glaring and also give them a good scolding. Kartik and I was laughing after seeing both of them like this.
"Harry , Your uncle is calling for you. And Aashi can you please bring red dupatta from my room , I left it on side table of the bed" She instruct us and get busy with another task.
Amaya's mother room is besides the study on the second floor. All guest are enjoying the engagement party at the ground floor. Uncle , Aunt, other family members and servants are also there, So the second floor is empty. When I was in my way to her room , I can hear my own footstep and ankle sounds. It's already 9'O clock moon are on his full shine. When I entered her my eyes searching for red dupatta that I found on the side table of her bed. I was about to went back to party hall, my phone rang and it's kartik message from amaya's phone. He said that his favorite watch was left in the study mistakenly and he want it now. He asked me to also take his watch in my way back to hall. After reading it I went to study room surprisingly it's lights are on . I put dupatta on the study table and started search for kartik's watch but it no where to found so I just decide to give up on it.
As soon as I turned around I bumped intosomeone and due to misbalance we fall on the ground. I instinctively close my eyes and i thought i am going to break my nose on my best friend's engagement, But my nose does not hit the ground. It's like i fell on the heap of grass, somewhat hard but still comfortable. When I opened my eyes I on the top of a man.
