an untold mystery

VIANNA IVY had found herself in an awful predicament; the seventeen year old was currently sitting boredly in potion theory.

Professor Ediltrude had been talking for what had felt like years as she explained the properties of the fanleé potion, Via looked around the class as she fixed her long black hair up into a bun with a flick of her wrist.

Crossing her legs, she looked to her right as she looked around for her friends. The girl thought about the times that they did sit together in this lesson but then quickly moved after an 'accidental' potion failed that almost caused the entire class to turn into ashes.

Professor Ediltrude's reaction was rather dramatic if you asked her - making them clean the laboratory for an entire month.

She spotted stormy and mouthed to her how boring this class was.

The blue haired girl simply mouthed back a 'what' slightly too loud which caused the small whispers here and there to completely die out as everyone turned to the girl.

Professor Ediltrude's head snapped to the culprit as she raised her eyebrows.

"Stormy, I prefer you refrain from shouting in the middle of my class," her sharp voice almost seemed to echo throughout the class as her ghostly slender hands placed themselves on the wooden desk in front of her.

Via ran her hand down her face as she struggled to understand the girls stupidity.

"Now that I have your attention, would you care to tell the class what the fanleé potion is capable of?" The muddy purple inside of the potion splashed around in its bottle as the professor shook it slightly.

Stormy had flushed as she stared at the teacher in annoyance. The sound of the wind outside seemed to fill the silent class as no answer was given.

Professor Ediltrude's eyes scanned over her students, noticing almost every girl's nervous posture as they tried to act busy and looking around, the older woman sighed tiredly.

"Can anyone tell me?" Her voice slightly grated as picked herself up and crossed her arms in irritation.

Via's hand slightly rose as she spoke up, "it's properties contain that of the Nighting-gale flower and Roa leaf which emits a poison, if mixed correctly with one seed from a withered flower. If consumed the potion is powerful enough to blind an opponent." She stopped speaking as she concluded her answer to which professor Elditrude smiled.

"Thank you, Via it's good to know that at least one of my students listened. Now this potion isn't easy to make, it takes a master potioneer with years of experience to brew such a highly advanced substance-,"

Via zoned out for the rest of the lesson as Elditrude's voice simply faded into the background and her thoughts drifted to the power of the potion.

The sound of the bell rang throughout the school as the girls in the class got up to leave and have a well awaited break after an excruciating hour of listening about potion theory.

Her pale hands found her bag as she made her way down towards the exit. A familiar voice stopped her in her tracks as she stood slightly still.

"Via," her sharp tone cut through the bustling of the young students as they hurriedly made their way out of the class.

Turning around she raised her eyebrow expectantly, "yes professor?" her smooth voice embodied that of silk as stood gracefully.

Rustling with some papers, Ediltrude's voice replied, "I'd like to have an important conversation with you, meet me here tomorrow morning, sharp."

"Of course professor." Her voice came out sickly sweet as she smiled sligthly, Ediltrude smiled brightly at her star student as she rose her hand, dismissing her.

Via turned around her smile dropping as she cursed under her breathe quickly making her way out of the laboratory. Spotting her friends she walked ahead as she avoided the young witches walking to their dorms.

"What was that all about?" Darcy questioned as she leaned against the wall with Icy and Stormy standing lazily besides her.

"Nothing much." She smiled back tightly, the three understood not to question her further as they stood up straighter.

Stormy started talking to break the awkward silence as they made their way to their dorm.

Icy's sharp eyes studied the girl as her cold hands crossed, Via's eyes snapped onto hers as her cold glare made the witch turn away. Icy knew better than to mess with the girl.

Via was currently lying on her bed as she flipped through Witches Weekly magazine with Darcy; the two snickered at a page as they flipped the magazine.

The loud sound of the door opening sounded through the room as Icy stormed through, "I'm going to kill that professor!" She blasted her ice at a random plant as she harshly sat in her chair.

"What did the professor do?" Stormy asked as she filed her nails.

"More importantly, what did the plant do?" Via joked to which Darcy and Stormy laughed but they soon shut up at the glare that Icy gave them.

"He gave me detention on the first day," Icy grumbled.

"What'd you do?" Via asked as she got up and stood in front of the mirror fixing her hair.

"Oh nothing, I just happened to yawn a bit too loudly because professor Valdu's lessons happen to be as boring as watching paint dry."

"We could always get revenge you know?" Darcy quipped darkly.

Icy face glowed, as she thought about the pranks she could pull on the cursed man.

Via snorted at that as she went through her messages on her phone.

The girls hung out in the dorm for a while talking about anything and everything. Via played with her powers as the green mist flowed through her hands elegantly, her hand quickly stopped the magic as she got up from her desk and listened to Darcy.

The sisters talked about the power they had been searching for since Via had found a book about it in the forbidden section of the library.

Night had come and the three witches had already fallen asleep. Via got up quietly as she looked around and silently made her way over to the door.

Her heart almost jumped out of her chest as she nearly screamed at the sound of Stormy's snores.

She rolled her eyes slightly and made her way over to the door quickly grabbing her cape and closing the door softly.

Her hands pulled on the hood slightly as she quickly made her way through the castle's gloomy halls.

The young witch quickly made her way through the secret passage and landed in the castle's crypt. She quickly made her way around the massive room, as she headed for the exact thing she was looking for.

A smile made her way onto her lips as she stared down at the small potion bottle in her hand containing a muddy purple.
