I checked my phone.  It was 2:57 in the afternoon, and I was going out with my friends at 6. I was just doing some work on my laptop, waiting for Reece to get home, but decided to finish up and go get ready.  I had gone shopping the week before and bought a bunch of new outfits so I'd choose one of those.  I closed my laptop and put it on the table, then I walked into our bedroom and opened the closet. After looking for a while,  I found a cute dress, heels and a bag.

I layed it out on the bed and walked into the bathroom to run a shower. After washing my hair and shaving, which took about 30 minutes, I stepped out and wrapped a towel around my,  starting on my skincare. I was just putting moisturiser on when i heard the front door open,  letting me know that Reece was back.  I quickly finished up moisturising and put on a hoodie and shorts, before walking out to greet him.  "Hey baby" I ran over to him and hugged him.  He smiled and kissed my forehead. "Hey, did you have a shower?" He asked and I nodded. "I'm just going out with a couple friends later for dinner,  I hope that's okay" "Of course it is,  what time?" "6" I replied. He smiled at me and let me go finish getting ready.  I walked up to our bathroom and grabbed out my blow dryer, straightener and heat protectant to start doing my hair. 

After it was dry and straightened, it had already been an hour, and I had to start doing my makeup. I opened pinterest and looked through some options, deciding on one after a while of looking.

I put on my jewellery and walked into the bedroom to get into my dress since I only had 30 minutes until I had to leave. Carefully, I lifted it over my head and put it on,  then I put on my shoes and grabbed my bag. I walked out of the bedroom and picked up my phone. "Baby, it's just the restaurant a couple blocks away,  I'll walk" I said when I saw Reece stand up and grab his car keys. "Are you sure?" I nodded "okay, but call me as soon as anything happens, alright" I ran up to him,  hugged him,  then left to walk to the restaurant.

It took me about 20 minutes, so I arrived earlier than everyone else. I walked to a waitress and told her about our booking, and she led me out the back into the garden, where a table for 8 had been set up.  I smiled and thanked her, grabbed menus for us all and sat down. One by one,  all my friends arrived and we all started talking. Once we had all decided on what to eat,  we called over a waitress and told her. "Y/N, how is your boyfriend going?" My friend hayley asked me.  I smiled at her.  "Yeah,  he's good,  a little bummed that they didn't make it to the finals, but he's happy he'll get to spend more time with me" we talked for a little bit longer until our food and drinks came out.  It all looked and smelled amazing,  so we immediately started eating, sharing small bites with eachother as we went.  After finishing all our dinner,  we started up the conversation again,  sharing memories and catching up with eachothers lives. After we had finished dessert, it was already 10 pm, and we were all feeling pretty tired, so we took some photos for instagram and all went our separate ways. I knew I should call Reece to pick me up,  since it was really dark and I had had a lot to drink,  but I also knew he would most likely be trying to get to sleep,  so I put my phone away.

I started my walk home, and at first, everything seemed normal. My shoes were starting to give me blisters, so I quickly slid them off and started carrying them. I was about 2 streets away from our house when I heard slow footsteps behind me,  at first I ignored it,  but after hearing them for a while,  I picked up my pace and started walking faster.  Unfortunately, when I did that,  so did the person behind me.  I turned my head quickly, trying to get a look at who it was,  when I saw a tall man who looked about 10 years older then me.  I started panicking and grabbed my phone out, now starting to jog. I knew that if I just sent Reece my location, he would know something happened and would come pick me up.  I turned around again, only to see that where he had once been about 20 metres away from me,  he was now only about 10. My breathing was fast and i was terrified for my life,  I should have acknowledged how dangerous it was to walk alone at night and called a taxi. I was about to start running then I saw headlights coming and Reece's car pulling over next to me.

He quickly got out and ran in front of me,  sheltering me from the guy. "Mate,  the fuck you think your doing?" He shouted at the man.  "Same as you,  just trying to get a bitch, what's the issue?" He spat back. I grabbed Reece's arm,  trying to stop him from hitting the guy, and instead yelled at him.  "Leave my fucking girlfriend alone you cunt, stop being a fucking creep" The guy seemed to get the hint and ran into the darkness. As soon as he was gone,  Reece turned to face me,  and I put my shoes on the ground before hugging him tightly. He wrapped his arms around me and a started crying into his chest.  "I'm so sorry baby,  I should have called you" I sobbed and he rubbed my back,  pressing kisses to my head.  "Baby,  don't say sorry, it's not your fault, but I'm never letting you walk anywhere by yourself ever again, okay" I nodded, and he picked me up,  carrying me to the car. He opened the door and I got inside. He walked back over to the pathway and picked up my shoes. He opened the driver's door and handed them over to me.  I thanked him and put my seatbelt on.  He started the car and we drove home.  When we arrived, I quickly got into my pyjamas and took my makeup off before getting into bed.  He laid down beside me and wrapped his arm around my waist, holding me close. "I love you Y/N" " I love you too Reece".
