It was unusually windy. Minatiro opened his eyes to catch a view of the city. This was his first time in the capital, and he was here for one purpose only: to eliminate Akame from Night Raid.

Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, he clutched his weapon of choice—a dagger shaped like a broken spearhead, its jagged edge gleaming faintly under the moonlight. He had heard from somewhere that Night Raid was going to strike at a certain location tonight, and he wasn't going to miss it.

Minatiro found himself at a massive mansion outside the capital, its high walls and lavish architecture standing in stark contrast to the decaying streets he had passed on the way. The noble who lived here, Iokal, was a notorious figure, infamous for his cruelty and corruption. Night Raid had likely marked him for execution, and Minatiro wasn't about to let them complete their mission without interference.

He crouched on a ledge overlooking the estate, his eyes scanning the well-guarded grounds. Despite the heavy security, he knew Night Raid's assassins would find a way inside. It was only a matter of time.

Moments later, he caught sight of movement—a shadow slipping past the outer wall. His eyes narrowed. It was Akame. She was even more dangerous in person, moving with an eerie grace that made her blend seamlessly into the night.

He followed her carefully from the rooftops, keeping his distance while she approached the mansion. Soon, another figure appeared, and Minatiro instantly recognized her. Leone, another key member of Night Raid. With her strength and Akame's deadly precision, this mission was almost guaranteed to succeed—unless he intervened.

As they crept closer to the mansion's entrance, Minatiro leapt to a better vantage point, remaining hidden in the shadows. He would wait until the perfect moment to strike. Attacking now, while they were on guard, would be foolish. He needed to see how they moved, how they fought, before making his move.

Akame and Leone quickly incapacitated two guards at the back entrance, slipping inside the mansion undetected. Minatiro's heart raced. The time was drawing near. He silently entered through a second-story window, landing in a dark hallway lined with ornate paintings and statues.

The interior was just as extravagant as he expected. He could almost smell the corruption seeping from the very walls. Akame and Leone were already deep inside, making their way toward Iokal's chambers. Minatiro's instincts told him this mission was personal for Night Raid. The empire's nobles were symbols of everything Night Raid despised, and Iokal was no exception.

As they neared the target's room, Minatiro could hear muffled voices. Akame paused, her hand tightening on Murasame's hilt. Leone gave her a nod, and with one swift motion, she kicked open the door.

The confrontation was immediate. Inside, Iokal scrambled to his feet, his face pale with fear. His guards moved to defend him, but they were no match for Night Raid's assassins. Leone charged forward, her enhanced strength overwhelming the guards with ease, while Akame darted toward Iokal, her sword gleaming in the dim light.

Minatiro stayed hidden, watching the chaos unfold. He was impressed by their coordination and brutality. But now was the time to strike. If he wanted to take down Akame, he would have to do it soon, before the mission was complete.

He gripped his dagger tightly and prepared to make his move.

minatiro's breath steadied as he watched the chaos unfold. Akame and Leone moved like seasoned killers, their precision honed by years of bloody missions. Leone's fists shattered bones, and with each strike, her opponents crumpled. Akame, however, was a completely different kind of predator—cold, efficient, lethal. Murasame, the infamous cursed blade, sliced through her foes with terrifying ease. Each cut was a death sentence, her targets barely registering the blow before life drained from their eyes.
