Jasmine + Anthony Forever and a Lifetime

Hey!! If you are reading this I wanted to let you know how genuinely grateful I am that you are interested in my story. This is a fanfiction of Jasmine Cephas Jones and Anthony Ramos that takes place starting in 2015. I made this because I miss them so much. I hope you enjoy and stick with it until the end! -Kate

Jasmine's POV:           

           It was the day. The day that my stomach was flipping, the day that I had been looking forward to for weeks. It was the first day of rehearsal. I hadn't met anyone yet, but I had received a cast list from Lin. The other two women playing the Schuyler Sisters were Phillipa Soo and Renée Elise Goldsberry. I hadn't heard of either of them, but I was sure they were both EXTREMELY talented. I got out of bed and headed into the bathroom. I washed my face and then followed the rest of my skincare routine. I didn't want to look too disheveled for first impressions but it was just a rehearsal so I decided to do some light makeup but with a pop of red lipstick. I wanted to keep my hair down, but I kept a hair tie on me just in case. I put on some skinny jeans and paired them with a button down denim top that had quarter sleeves (As shown in the photo.) I ate some yogurt with granola filtered throughout it for breakfast, and then I was off to the Theatre. 

           I walked out of my small apartment and I reached the ground about 4 minutes later. I walked towards the street and flagged a taxi, "To the Public Theatre, please," I demanded as I plopped down into the backseat. We arrived around 15 minutes later and I thanked my cab driver for the ride while handing him a $20 bill. I stepped out onto the paved sidewalk. Wow! So this is what a dream coming true looks like! I thought, beaming ear to ear. I took a deep breath, and headed in. It was quite quiet, but I embraced it. Then, Lin spotted me and started speed-walking over. "Hi Jasmine Cephas Jones!" He praised.

           "Hi Lin, nice to see you again!" I said, going in for a polite hug.

           "Okay well most of the cast is in the break room, besides Daveed, an-" Lin stuttered. Just then, a decently tall, dark skinned man with brown eyes and an afro pinned back into a ponytail walked in. "Hey Diggs! What's up?" Lin stated. I figured they've knew each other for a while, as they seemed to have a lot of chemistry.

           "I'm good man, what's going on?" Daveed replied.

           "Well, as I was just telling our newest castmate Jasmine," Lin started while motioning towards me. Daveed smiled at me, so I waved in return. Then Lin continued, "Most of the cast is in the break room backstage so I will lead you guys there." 

           "Thanks Lin," Daveed and I said in perfect harmony before laughing along with Lin who was already reacting to the fact that we had just harmonized before even starting rehearsals. When we finally gathered our giggles, we reached a room. It was backstage, like Lin had mentioned, and fairly large, but it appeared to be smaller in reality because of all the people in it. I looked around. I saw nine or ten people all scattered around, but my eyes immediately went to the brunette man with a freckled face and deep brown eyes. He was gorgeo- No Jazzy! You HAVE a loving and caring boyfriend! I remembered. Well loving and caring was kind of an overstatement, Nathan had been pretty distant lately. Not to mention all the physical threats.

"Guys, this is our new castmate, Jasmine Cephas Jones!" Lin announced as all the faces turned towards me.

"Hi!" I called out nervously to all the people staring at me.

"And some of you already know Daveed Diggs from FLS but for those of you that don't, this is he." Lin finished, now pointing out Daveed on the other side of him. "Let's begin."

We all talked for a good 5 minutes just so we could get to know each other. I introduced myself to Phillipa who insisted on me calling her Pippa, and Renée. "Hi, I'm Jasmine! I assume you two are my Schuyler sisters?" I questioned.
