Third person POV:

It was a beautiful day in New York City. Jasmine and Anthony had been working their butts off in rehearsals for the past month and the Hamilton opening on Broadway was in three weeks. "Ant, look!" Jasmine exclaimed, pointing at a billboard of her in the distance, advertising Hamilton.

"Ooo let me get a picture, stand right there," Anthony stated, pulling out his phone. "Alright 3....2- Hey! Watch where you're going!" He yelled at a man that had just pushed Jazzy out of the way and into the street. He started running towards Jaz but he was too late...BOOM! A car turned the corner and smacked Jasmine, leaving her unconscious on the road.

Anthony's POV:

It had been half an hour since Jazzy got hit. Every part of me was shaking. Just then, I saw some fellow Hamilton cast members walk through the doors. Lin, Pippa, Daveed, and Leslie. "Sorry we're late!" Pippa exclaimed, her eyes flooded with terror, mine flooded with tears. She gave me a kind hug, "Anthony, she's gonna be okay," she stated reassuringly. Lin agreed.

"HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?!" I yelled at Lin, making a mockery of myself. "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO HER!" I continued, breaking down, "I'm sorry guys, I just don't know what to do with myself. She means everything to me," I pronounced, still crying like a baby.

"Mr. Ramos?" A nurse called from Jasmine's room, "You may come in now." I took a deep breath and walked through the door to see a lifeless Jasmine Cephas Jones laying on the bed. I listened for the beats of a heart rate monitor and took a sign of relief when I heard them. I rushed over to Jazzy and knelt down beside her. She looked so frail and weak. I couldn't bear to see her like this. "She's in a coma," the nurse explained, "The doctors say she should be up in a day or two, but they aren't certain...You're lucky, most folks die right on the spot of a car crash. Her brain touched her skull, causing her to blackout. She has internal bleeding, but no broken limbs or bones besides her left index finger."

"She's a strong woman." I stated, still bawling. I grabbed her hand with both of mine and kissed it, careful not to mess with any of the cords surrounding her. She had a nasty gash or her arm and another one on her right leg. I decided to have Lin text her parents and I convinced him to let me stay here until Jazzy woke up. When he realized there was no way he could sway me, he caved.

A whole day passed. I hadn't slept a wink but I didn't care. Steph had stopped by earlier to drop off some flowers, along with the cast and some of Jasmine's cousins. Her parents came bursting in at the crack of dawn to see their daughter and exchanged some words with me. I had promised to call them right when she woke up, as they had to go back to work. "Jazzy? I know you can hear me. Love speaks louder than anything in the world." I whispered to her. "I love you. Please wake up, I can't imagine spending my life without you, sleeping in our bed alone, and not being able to marry you, or have babies with you, or grow old with you. Jazzy please wake up!" I encouraged. I was losing hope. I turned away but I heard a breath. A large breath that sounded different than all the other ones I had heard before. I looked over at Jasmine as her eyes fluttered open. "Jasmine!!" I yelled a little too loud before kissing her.

"Ant.." she said weakly as she smiled. I went to get a doctor and quickly left voicemails for her parents and the cast. I raced back into the room and beamed at Jazzy. She was awake. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Even at her worst in a hospital bed, I couldn't stop loving her. I kept her hand in mine and squeezed it slightly. She returned the favor. Just then, Ron and Mama Kim burst in. "Mom! Dad!" Jazzy squealed. Well, that's how she wanted it to sound, but it didn't exactly come out that way.

"We got Anthony's voicemails, we're here sweetie," her mom assured her as her dad kissed the top of her head.

"Thanks for not leaving my daughter's side, son." he stated to me. I shook his hand firmly,

"It was my pleasure Ron, I love your daughter, I'd do anything for her," I truthfully said, letting go of his hand. Jasmine beamed from ear to ear hearing her dad's approval of me. We continued some good conversation and I really got to know the two creators of my girlfriend. They were both such great people and I noticed little things that they each did, the same little things that Jazzy did. I thought it was so cute.

"Ant, you need to sleep. I'll be fine I promise," Jazzy exclaimed. "I've been up for five hours, the cast has already come to see us, you're right next to me, what else do you want?"

"I don't need sleep when I have you," I said before yawning.

"Ant, seriously, you haven't slept in 42 hours. Please at least take a quick nap. For me?" She pouted. I wasn't gonna argue with a gorgeous woman who was in a hospital bed. She began to sing one out of the three of our songs. Keep It Simple by us. (I'm pretty sure they hadn't written this together yet but oh well because it's a cute song) The other two were No Air by Jordin Sparks and Take The World by Johnnyswim, but Keep It Simple felt right in the moment. I came back to reality and softened my body against the sofa cushions. Jasmine's hand in mine.

"-y mama said sit down and know your music.
You gotta know your mission so you don't lose it.
The wonders of Stevie work my childhood memory,
So the world threw a stereo and a mel..."
She sang beautifully as I drifted off to sleep.
