After Yuji had gone back to his room, (Y/n) was once again alone, all by herself in the garden. That's when Nobara had joined her. Their conversation flowed easily and smoothly as if they just had had a reunion after many years. There was no specific topic so they both rambled on about whatever came to their minds, occasionally drifting to a comfortable silence when they run out of anything to say.
Sure Nobara had asked her where she came from and basically the same questions as Yuji but (Y/n) told her she didn't know. Nobara was confused but decided to say no more on that, sensing (Y/n)'s discomfort at the questions.
Nobara was a grown-up lady now. Mature, confident, strong, and with an air of friendliness. Comparing her with the teenage self of her which (Y/n) had grown used to, it felt slightly weird. Mainly because she wasn't used to seeing her that way? That's what (Y/n) thought at least. But nevertheless, (Y/n) enjoyed her company.
She had never had any friend- friend as in the real sense of the word. All of the people she knew, though she didn't know many, never felt real to her. Because real is when you feel warmth, humanity, and comfort from that person. That's what makes us humans. But (Y/n) had never seen or felt any of that. The only people good people she knew of, in the entirety of her life till now, were her grandparents who had taken care of her for the most of her childhood as she remembered. They were long gone now, but their memories remained with her.
As the day dragged on, (Y/n) found herself shopping with Nobara.
Nobara eagerly dragged (Y/N) from one shop to the next, her excitement infectious as she picked up trendy clothes, accessories, and beauty products without a second thought. Despite (Y/n)'s protests, Nobara insisted on buying her a cute hair clip, practically forcing it into her hands with a playful smile. They visited boutique stores, street vendors, and even a bustling marketplace, all while (Y/N) helped carry the growing number of shopping bags. Although overwhelmed, (Y/n) found herself enjoying Nobara's vibrant energy, feeling a little lighter in her company.
As the sun started setting, casting warm golden rays across the garden, Gojo, Geto, Yuji, and Megumi were sat casually on the same bench (Y/n) had occupied earlier that morning, basking in the last rays of the setting sun. Their lighthearted conversation filled the air, with Gojo's teasing remarks drawing amused smiles from the others. The soft evening breeze rustled the leaves, adding to the serene atmosphere.
Suddenly, their attention shifted as they spotted Nobara and (Y/n) approaching, arms weighed down with numerous shopping bags. Yuji's eyes widened in surprise. "Whoa, did you buy the whole store?" he joked.
Nobara waved him off with a playful scoff. "I had to! (Y/n) needed some change," she announced proudly, nudging (Y/n), who blinked in surprise, glancing at the bags and then at Nobara. "Wait... you bought all these for me?" she asked, astonished. She had assumed Nobara was shopping for herself the entire time.
Nobara grinned, clearly enjoying (Y/n)'s reaction. "Obviously! You didn't think I'd let you keep wearing the same stuff, did you?"
Yuji bursted out laughing. "Poor (Y/n), caught in Nobara's fashion whirlwind!"
