"This LQI news channel, and we have a breaking news.
All the people in Alderan State are left in fear after hearing about the sudden, horrifying murder that took place last night.
Alderan being a place known for its safety and calmness is now trending and people are questioning their own safety.
The active netizens have already started referring to the killer as 'Raze' which means destruction and chaos.
Till now no information regarding the Identity of the killer has been revealed.
The police is trying to--"

Joe switched off the telivision, a sudden silence filled up the room.

"That gave me goosebumps man, holy shit!" Eric exclaimed.

"A murder? Here? That's strange." Joe responded as he continued making his bed. "Now that's a way to begin a day, isn't it?"

Eric and Joe have known each other ever since they were 4, and now they are 18 something.
They've been to the same play group , same school, and they even share the same room (they are roomates). They probably know each other better than anybody.

It wasn't surprising for Eric to see Joe so unbothered, he's always like that.
Calm, composed and what not?

"Don't you have any morning classes?" Joe asked

"Nah, I've only got 2 classes today"

"Good for you, im definitely not jealous, bye." Joe responded as he walked out.

Joe is a computer science student whereas Eric is an arts student.
Joe has almost mastered his subject, whereas Eric... He's still struggling, but he's great in his own way.

As Joe walked into the campus, he could immediately feel that something was off, but he couldn't point out what it was.

Eve ran towards Joe as soon as she saw him.

"Woah, what is it?
Where are you going?" Joe asked her.

Eve is just a year younger but they both are quite close. She's the popular one and is always updated with the new gossips.

"Haven't you heard about the murder case?" She said while catching her breath.

"I have."

"How are you so calm!? The victim was a student here! I am so freaked out, I'll just stay home today."

"What-"

"I'm going, bye! I think you should go back too."

Within a blink of an eye, Eve disappeared, leaving Joe confused.

Is it really that serious?

Joe was known as the type of person who would always have a 100% attendance. No bad weather, sickness, or disaster could stop him from keeping his attendance ideal.
It was a hard decision, he was left in a dillema.

But the thought that 'it isn't like it's just me here, there are others too, so why do I need to take a leave? I'll just go.' kept him going.

Emptiness.
The hall was empty, not even a single student was there except him.
Even the teachers were no where to be seen.

The students he saw outside were not really there for the classes but rather some unaware people who didn't know what was going on until they stepped in and were told about it by the others.

"You know what. I'll just go back."

The fact that it was so unusually quite creeped him out.
