The students of 6th standard stared at the muscular man, standing in front of them with their teacher. Their eyes travelling from the rigid stature to the delicate one.

" So from today onwards, Abhimanyu sir will give you self-defense classes. It's a part of our Independence Day workshop. Alright kids? " Tara looked at the children, who were blatantly staring at Abhimanyu.

Noticing Tara heaving a sigh at the student's hesitant nature, he decided to take the matter in his hands, " C'mon, don't you guys wanna learn some cool moves? Trust me, it'll help a lot in impressing girls. " this made the boy's eyes sparkle in interest, " And girls, don't you wanna know some tricks, to beat the shit up of the bullies, who misbehaved with you? " the girls nodded in unison.

" Then, what are we waiting for commandos? Let's start our classes! Tell me, how's the josh? " Tara smiled at his tactics.

" High sir! " the room echoed with the cheers of the students.

Tara observed from the sidelines, as Abhimanyu expertly demonstrated a self-defense move to the students.

His patience and skill impressed her, and she found herself smiling, captivated by his confident demeanor. She can't believe that he's the same impatient and naughty boy, who used to irritate her at every moment possible.

The bell rang, indicating the end of the class. The students, happily clattered out of that room, excitement of learning something new, still following through their nerves.

As Abhimanyu wrapped up the session, Tara approached him, " Great job, Abhimanyu. The students loved it. "

Abhimanyu smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, making Tara's heart skip a beat, " Thanks, Tara. They're a great bunch, " he replied, his deep voice sending a shiver down her spine.

Of all these years, now she's feeling stuff like this? For Abhimanyu?

Tara nodded, fidgeting with her hands, trying to hide her inner conflicts, " So, I was thinking-  maybe we could discuss the workshop plans over lunch? "  she suggested, hoping her tone sounded professional.

Abhimanyu raised an eyebrow, his gaze piercing through her, " Lunch? You mean, together? "  he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Tara blushed, her mind racing, " Yes, together. As colleagues, " she clarified, trying to sound convincing.

Abhimanyu chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mirth, " Colleagues, huh? Alright, I'd like that, " he agreed, his smile making Tara's pulse quicken.

She'd never felt like that before!

As he bid her goodbye, she couldn't help but wonder, what she had just gotten herself into.

Was it just a harmless lunch meeting, or was she stepping into something more? Shaking her head, she pushed the thought aside, focusing on the task at hand – planning a successful workshop.

The day of the lunch meeting arrived, and Tara found herself dressing more carefully than usual, the reason unknown to her. As she entered the café, she spotted Abhimanyu already seated, his eyes locked onto hers.

" Hey " she took a seat across from him.

His eyes roam over her attire, before settling in her glazing orbs, " Taking an extra effort in dressing up, I see. " she could hear the tease in his tone.

Rolling her eyes, she initiated the talk of the workshop, intending to change the topic.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, discussing workshop plans, sharing laughs, and discovering common interests. Tara felt a connection she couldn't ignore, her initial apprehension melting away.

As they finished their lunch, Abhimanyu walked Tara out, the warm sun casting a glow over them, " Thanks for lunch, Tara. I had a great time, "  he said, his voice low and sincere.

Tara smiled, feeling a spark of electricity as their hands brushed, " Likewise, Abhimanyu. It's very nice- having you close after such a huge time lapse. It's nice, spending time with you. I missed this- us. "

Abhimanyu gave her the smile, that Tara knew, she would cherish till the end of her life.

As they parted ways, Tara thought, if this chance encounter might lead to something more meaningful? That, only time would tell, but for now, she was content to bask in the warmth of their budding connection.
