His work keeps him busy, but his family is never far from his thoughts.

- **Mrs. Malik** (Age: 37): The heart of the Malik household, Mrs. Malik is a devoted wife and loving mother. She cares deeply for her family, always making sure they are happy and well taken care of. Kind-hearted and nurturing, she balances her role as a housewife with the love she pours into her home. Her warmth makes the Malik house feel like a real home.

**The Connection Between the Malik and Khan Families**

The bond between the Malik and Khan families runs deep, rooted in a long-standing friendship. Nadia Khan and Hiba Malik have been best friends since their school days, sharing countless memories and supporting each other through life's ups and downs. This enduring friendship has seamlessly extended to their children, who have grown up as close friends just like their mothers.

**Meher's POV**

A little while later, I saw Zain walking towards me with two ice creams in hand. He smiled and said, "Here you go, the chocolate one's yours, and the strawberry one's mine."

Seeing the ice cream made me instantly happy, and I wasted no time digging into it. As I took my first bite, I couldn't help but ask, "Where did you get the money for this?"

Though, honestly, I knew asking was pointless-Zain comes from a wealthy family, so he always has money with him. He chuckled a little at my question and said, "Don't worry about that. Just eat your ice cream before it melts."

As he said that, he playfully patted me on the head, and I went back to enjoying my ice cream. After a few moments, I looked at him and said, "You know, Zain, no one could ever take your place in my life. You're my best friend, and I'll always be with you."

I paused for a moment, then added, "Promise me you'll never leave me and you'll always be there for me."

He smiled and said, "How could I ever leave you? You're my cutest and silliest friend."

I giggled and smiled back at him, feeling really happy. Then I just went back to eating my ice cream, enjoying every bite.

**Zain's POV**

How could I ever leave Meher? She's the reason I smile every day. No matter how annoying or stubborn she can be, she always manages to brighten my world in ways she probably doesn't even realize. I've known her for as long as I can remember, and even though she's younger than me, I feel this need to look out for her.

She's more than just a friend-she's like family. Whenever I see her upset, like she was today over that ice cream, it makes me want to fix everything for her. Seeing her smile again, like when I handed her the ice cream, makes everything feel right. I don't think anyone else can take her place in my life, and honestly, I don't ever want them to.

**The Next Day at the Malik Mansion**

The Malik family home wasn't just any house-it was a sprawling mansion, with elegant architecture and a serene atmosphere that always made gatherings feel special. That evening, the Malik and Khan families came together for a cozy dinner, prepared by none other than Hiba Malik, renowned for her cooking. Her delicious dishes had everyone eagerly anticipating dinner, and, as always, she didn't disappoint.

After dinner, the adults settled into comfortable conversation, while Zain and Meher, full of energy, dashed off to the private park within the mansion. Laughter filled the air as the children disappeared into their own world, while inside, the grown-ups caught up.

**Mr. Malik:** "So, Saim, how's work treating you these days?"

**Mr. Saim:** "Alhumdulillah, everything's going well. Although, there's been talk of a transfer lately."

**Mr. Malik, surprised:** "Transfer? To another city?"

**Mr. Saim:** "Yeah, but I'm trying to make sure it doesn't happen. I'd rather stay here."

**Mr. Malik:** "I agree, you should. Moving to another city would be a big change."

**Nadia, chiming in:** "Exactly, Bhai Sahab. Zain and Meher are such close friends. If we move, they'll miss each other terribly. Plus, none of us really want to leave. This place, this friendship-it means so much to us."

**In the Park**

The evening sky had started to turn a soft shade of purple as Meher sat on the grass, playing with her doll. Zain, just a few feet away, leaned against the tree, watching her with a small smile on his face. She was so wrapped up in her own world, completely focused on the doll in her lap. Her small frown made him curious.

**Meher, pouting:** "My doll's prince is lost... Now she's all alone."

She looked up at Zain, her big eyes filled with concern. Zain couldn't help but chuckle softly.

**Zain, playfully:** "We'll find him, don't worry. He's probably hiding somewhere, but he'll come back to her."

**Meher, shaking her head:** "I've looked everywhere! He's just... gone. I left him in my room, but he disappeared. Maybe I should get her a new prince. Yeah, a new one will be better."

Zain raised an eyebrow at her, trying to hide his amusement.

**Zain:** "A new prince? But what about the old one? Won't she miss him? Do you think she'll like the new one just as much?"

Meher tilted her head, as if seriously considering the question. Her lips curled slightly as she made up her mind.

**Meher:** "She'll forget about the old one eventually. The new prince will make her happy, and she'll be fine with him."

Zain smiled, shaking his head at her logic. He walked over and sat next to her on the grass, picking up a stick to doodle on the ground.

**Zain, teasingly:** "Alright then, if you say so. Get her a new prince. But I still think the old one is pretty special."

Meher giggled, feeling proud of her decision. As she focused back on her doll, Zain watched her for a moment. Even though they were just kids, there was something about their friendship that felt bigger. She was talking about a doll, but Zain wondered... would she be so quick to replace him, too?
