Edd: Tord?!

Tom: What are you doing up there?!

Matt: Are you the REAL Tord?

Tord: Of course I am. Don't be too spooked. Lord Eduardo has entrusted me with Death Mountain. Isn't that great? If you'd like to be my servants, I welcome you with open arms.

Edd: Did you say Lord EDUARDO?! Tord, you didn't really-

Tord: Oh, but I HAVE. I've changed, Edd. I'm a bit more... pragmatic. It's simple, really. The light of day will fall before the power of darkness. Trying to stop it is nothing more than a fool's errand.

Edd: Wow... I used to think he was the smart one.

Matt: This's a dream, right?! It's gotta be!!

Tom: Or... *picks up pebble* it's an ILLUSION! *chucks it at Tord*

Tord: *stops it with hand*

Tord's hand: *starts bleeding*

Matt: Blood...

???: It isn't a dream... OR an illusion.

Edd: Shadow!

Shadow: Tord's simply found his true self. He knows who his friends REALLY are.

Edd: Oh come on, Tord! Didn't you see what he did to Hyrule Castle?!

Shadow: Come on. Try and use your brain for a second, Edd. Tord has superior intelligence. Playing nursemaid to you three fools was never enough for him. Lord Eduardo and I, on the other hand, have given Tord a chance. A chance to reach his true potential. You three were like stones... tied to his neck... drowning him in a sea of mediocrity.

Tord: Sorry guys, but... he's right.

Edd: *just blankly stares*

Matt: *starts to cry*

Tom: You... YOU TRAITOR! I KNEW IT!! ALL THAT TIME AWAY ROTTED AWAY YOUR MORALS, COMMIE! NOW I'M GONNA TEACH YOU A LESSON-

Edd: *holds his arm out to stop him* Wait a minute, Tom. Tord, I can't make you want to stay with us. *unsheathes his sword and points it at him* But I ALSO can't let you use the Four Sword to help Eduardo. If you're serious about joining darkness, then I have to stop you here and now!!

Shadow: Well, well, well! Now THIS is getting interesting! What do you have to say to that, Tord?

Tord: I say EDD... is about to get a painful lesson on who's the weak link on the team.

Shadow: *snaps his fingers*

Arena: *appears from out of the lava*

Tord: *jumps on the arena* Around us will be a lake of lava, if you have as much eyes as you do brains. The boulders will shoot flames if you get too close. If you're truly smart, you'll surrender NOW before it's too late.

Edd: *jumps onto the arena* I know what I'm doing. Do YOU?

Tord: Heh... I think we both know what's going to happen.

Edd's head: Why isn't he sweating??

Shadow: BEGIN!

Tord: *slashes Edd*s sleeve in half*

Tom: Is Tord any good? I wanna fight too!

Matt: Can't you tell by looking??

Edd: *rolls to evade Tord's attack, but gets right in front of a boulder*

Boulder: *shoots flames*

Edd: *barely dodges* WHOA!

Tord: Ha... you talk tough, but you don't have the nerve to kill me! *jumps to slice Edd in half* You're just too SOFT!!

EDD: *blocks it* You're no better! I leave you alone for a day, and you join darkness! Talk about soft! I'm ashamed you're even a PART of me!!

Matt: *blubbering* Stop it you two!! I hate seeing you two fighting! I wanna go back home to my novelty toy collection!!

Tom: *shoves Matt to the ground to shut him up* C'MON, EDD! KILL THAT IDIOT QUICKLY!!

Shadow: *rolling on the ground* Those two are priceless! HAHAHA! This may actually be the funniest thing I've ever seen!

Edd: We're... equally matched!

Tord: In strength, maybe. But a fight is also about a battle of wits! Don't you agree, old friend?

Edd: I do, actually! And it looks like you've outwitted YOURSELF!

Tord: What?!

Edd: By moving me closer to the rock, you got too close to ME!! *stomps on Tord's foot*

Tord: YEOWCH!!

Edd: C'MON, COMMIE! TIME TO FIGHT!!

Tord: Ok... you get your wish!

Tord and Edd: *slash at rapid speeds*

Edd's head: There's no trace of him left... he's totally ruthless! I have to end this... NOW!!

Tord and Edd: *do one last slash*

Tom and Matt: *looks nervously*

Shadow: *looks scornful*

Edd: *gasps, then collapses*

Tom and Matt: EDD!!! *rush to him*

Shadow: Well done, Tord! Now you're TRULY one of us!

Tom and Matt: *look at Tord with tears in their eyes*

Tord: *smiles* What? Didn't you believe me? Deal with it. *walks over to Shadow*

Shadow: That was great! Amazing, even!! Let's go drink a toast to the fire temple!

Shadow and Tord: *enter the temple*

Tom: C'mon, Edd! Stay with us, man!

Matt: *sobbing* Fairy, can you bring Edd back to life??

Fairy: *checks his pulse* You dimwits. Did you even bother to check his pulse?

Matt: Uh...

Fairy: Course not. He's only unconscious, idiots.

Edd: *starts to wake up* rrgh... that hurt...

Tom and Matt: *go over to Edd and hug him*

Edd: Huh?

Matt: *starts sobbing again* EDD! YOU'RE ALIVE!!

Tom: Why didn't he kill you?!

Edd: Because Tord's okay!

Tom: What do you mean?! He almost killed you!

Edd: Exactly! He faked the win to get Shadow to trust him!

Tom: But what's his plan now...?

Edd: I don't know... but we have to find out.
