You were busy working at your local Starbucks, trying to pay for college. You made the drinks, preparing it and giving it out to customers. You kept looking at the door.

You saw Kay and smiled. He was your favorite customer, he always ordered a Chocolate Cream Cold Brew, and for his sister, a Strawberry Refresher. You never met his sister before, but you knew she probably would look exactly like her older brother.

" What's the word Abby? " Kay greeted you with his smile, walking to the counter, leaning on it so he would make eye contact with you from below. " Makin a nigga's drink to pay for college ." You replied back, twirling the whipped cream around the hot chocolate, following the chocolate syrup.
" Well everybody and they mama know that . Like, what's new ma heart ? " He asked, tilting his head and smirking
" This is my last day here. Anyways, the usual? " You asked, putting the cap on the hot chocolate, putting it on the shelf
" Wait- it's your last day here? " He asked, tilting his head once again.
" Yeah, i'm sorry ." You admitted, sighing as you shook a cup to "mix" the strawberry syrups, making eye contact with him. Not noticing how inappropriate it was.
Kay made eye contact when you shook the cup, smirking a little bit more, and getting a little bit flustered.
" If it makes you more confident, go ahead. But you're pretty both ways ." He reassured you, making your lips curve into a smile.
As you finished making the drinks, he kept admiring you, which he always did. Mm, you loved this man. But you had to stay cautious, you were not getting into another toxic relationship again.
" WAIT! KAY! " You yelled once you heard the ringing sound of the door, signaling that Kay was leaving.
He turned around. "Yeah?"
" Can i get your number? "
" Say no more. "
