New beginnings

Time skip three months

I walk across the familiar street that leads to The Hogwarts until someone climbs on my back suddenly..
What the-
And suddenly the person bursts out laughing.. It's her
I smile
Hermione
My closest friend
"Goodmorning early bird i didn't expect you to be this early~"
I mock her slightly as she's usually one of the students who reaches the school before the gates open - and I'm the polar opposite i barely make it to the entrance
She just chuckles
"I couldn't leave my friend all alone you know -"
I roll my eyes at her dramatic reply
"Yes yes..of course"
We walk to the classroom together talking about random stuff and laughing like idiotic maniacs.. honestly I never thought that I'd make ever make a friend like her
Guess it's just luck anyways
Finally the teacher arrives and starts her usual lessons
Meanwhile Hermione and I share each other quick glances passing each other our copies for communication trying to hold back our laughter..
Finally the bell rings declaring the end of the period as everyone closes their books almost instantly
The teacher then speaks up again drawing everyone's attention
"The school had decided for prom and the interested students may submit their names to Madam Pomfrey"
The face of each and every student lights up at the announcement some blushing some holding on to their boyfriends and some being excited to get a prom partner and girls buzzing around the infamous 'Draco Malfoy'.. My biggest rival and enemy since that day he had been nothing but a pain in my ass-
Hermione and I look at each other.. and by the look on her face it was too obvious.. too obvious that she wanted Harry to be her prom partner-
I laugh.. "seriously gurl?"
She just looks at me in disbelief before shrugging off the topic
"Yeah yeah.. whatever"
"So how are you gonna ask him out?"
She looks at me confused and flustered..
"You know I'm not good at making pairs but I will surely try for my bestiee~"
Her face immediately sparkled and i just couldn't help but find this amusing as well as hilarious..
During the break we decided to submit Hermi's name for the prom
"I'm not coming that's final-"
"NO YOU HAVE TO!"
i finally stop in my tracks
"If that's what you are suggesting then I will Leave -"
"C'mon [y/n] stop being so stubborn you're gonna enjoy the prom it's gonna be a new experience you know?!"
New experience? I'm sure I'd look like a fool without any prom partner -
I sigh before speaking
"See Hermi.. I'm being honest I have barely talked to the guys here and there's no way I'm getting a prom partner I will just end up making a fool out of myself-"
She looks at me for a few moments before nodding and heading towards Madam Pomfrey's office.. upon reaching there we knock the door gently
"Come in"
"Thank you ma'am"
"Oh (y/n) and Hermione?"
We smile at her before Hermione says that she'd like to participate in the prom dance. Madam Pomfrey nods as she opens the particular list and hands it over to Hermione to write her name as one of the candidates. As we turn around to leave.. madam Pomfrey says
"We're thinking of arranging stage performances too so if anyone of you is interested you may submit your name and announce it in your class too"
We both turn around simultaneously.. Undoubtedly I have the passion for dancing so I immediately go towards her "ma'am then I'd like to perform on the stage"
"Okay write your name here"
"Sure"
Finally we leave her office..
"DAMN YES YOU'LL FINALLY ATTEND THE PROM!"
"Yeah yeah- I love dancing so I guess it won't hurt to participate in the solo dance"
Well no one said that it would be a solo dance-

Draco's pov-
Everyone is an idiot that's for sure prom? I'd definetly pull anyone to be my prom partner but that's not the case.. It's just time waste I'd rather party alone.
Just then a swarm of girls surrounded me
The hell?-
"Please Draco be my prom partner"
"No Draco mine-"
"Guys he's going with me"
And I felt disgusted.. about the fact that most of the girls were practically drooling over me. From the corner of my eyes I could see (y/n) giving me a bombastic side eye what the hell is wrong with her?
As if everything isn't wrong in my life.. with that I stood up and marched straight towards the door of the classroom leaving behind the disappointing looks of the fellow girls..
Finally some peac-
"DRACO LET'S GO!"
the annoying voice of Blaise echoed in my ears can the day go any worse?
Sighing

Blaise, Pansy and Gregory dragged Draco across the hall towards Madam Pomfrey's office.. once they were finished submitting their names Madam Pomfrey asked Draco if he'd like to participate in the stage performance..
Though he wasn't a fan of dancing..
or maybe he was but that didn't matter anyways
He stood silently for a moment contemplating her words before finally nodding and writing down his name..
