Me & Bangchan was equally nervous and excited as the day of the theater performance arrived. The crowd was huge, both from within the campus and from outside. Rumors had swirled about some entertainment companies sending representatives to observe the performances, adding an extra layer of pressure to win.
Bangchan walked alongside you, his nervousness apparent as he kept running through the performance routines in his head.
"You good?" I asked him while looking around the candidates. Bangchan nodded, but his expression betrayed his nerves.
"Yeah, I'm good. Just a bit anxious, you know? We've worked hard on this performance, and I really want it to go perfectly," he replied, his voice slightly wavering with the stress of the moment. I smile and pat his shoulder, "we got these..". Bangchan managed a small smile as he received your reassuring pat on the shoulder. Your words gave him a momentary boost of confidence.
"You're right," he agreed, his voice growing a bit steadier. "We've spent weeks practicing, we know this performance like the back of our hands. Let's rock this."
The theater vibrated with anticipation as the lights began to dim, signaling the start of the performances. Bangchan took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart.
"Showtime," he whispered, his determination evident in his voice. "Let's show them what we've got." Finally, after what felt like an eternity during other groups' performances, the announcer called out your names.
"And now, please welcome to the stage... Bangchan and (Y/N)!"
The bright lights shone down on you, almost blinding your vision for a moment, as a murmur of anticipation rippled through the audience.
Bangchan took another deep breath, steadying himself. He glanced over at you, giving you a nod, silently communicating that he was ready. With one last fortifying look at each other, you both took your positions on the stage. The music started, and you both began your performance. Every move, every step, every gesture was executed with precision and passion, honed through countless hours of practice. You felt the adrenaline coursing through your veins, but you stayed focused, your mind and body working in perfect synchronization.
The crowd's reaction was immediate. Applause, cheers, and whistles filled the theater, their excitement palpable. You could see Bangchan feed off the energy, his performance growing more confident and powerful with each passing moment. As the climax of the performance approached, you both reached a new level of energy and synchronization. The audience seemed captivated, their eyes glued to the stage, completely immersed in your performance. The final moments approached, and as the music reached its final notes, you both struck a final pose. The applause was deafening, the audience on their feet, cheering and shouting their approval.
You stood there, panting and sweaty, a rush of adrenaline coursing through you. You looked over at Bangchan, who was grinning from ear to ear, clearly feeling the high from the performance. The applause continued, the audience's enthusiasm refusing to subside. As you made your way backstage, still riding the wave of adrenaline, you were met by the rest of your group's members. They all stood there, eyes shining with pride and admiration, waiting to congratulate you and Bangchan on your successful performance.
The members chuckled at your confession, understanding the nerves and jitters that came with a performance.
"You both were amazing out there," Jeongin praised, a broad smile on his face.
Changbin nodded in agreement. "Seriously, you guys killed it. The audience was eating it up."
"And now only judged can decide if we win or not ," i sigh look at Bangchan. Bangchan also nodded, his adrenaline starting to come down as reality set in.
