Truth Or Dare With KISS (38)

Chapter One

(*I burst into the studio that is known as Cacablanca Records, where the nine KISS guys are hanging out because it's Sunday, and it's their day off*)

Me: I'M BACK! 😁

All nine of the KISS guys: EMILY?! 😱

Vixen91: Is that you??! 😱

Me: Yep! It's me! 😀

Ace: ACK! Are we doing this again?

Me: You bet we are SpaceAce! 😃

(*All nine of the KISS guys start whooping for joy, including Vixen91, KellerSinger19, and Suzy*)

(*Then, just as I'm about to start giving out the truths and dares from the KISS Army, Peter notices a small frog that's inside an encounter*)

Peter: Um...what the heck is that thing? 🧐

Paul: Huh?

(*All nine KISS members gather around the enclosure*)

Gene: It seems to be some sort of frog.

Vinnie: I've never seen anything like it.

Eric Carr: Me neither.

(*Then, KellerSinger19 happens to walk by and she sees the chubby little frog in the enclosure*)

KellerSinger19: Emily, what is that in your enclosure?

Ace: *cackles* He's a chubby little guy, ain't he?

Peter: *laughs* Yeah!

(*Then, because it got scared of Ace and Peter's loud laughing, the frog begins puffing up it's round, little body, opens its mouth, and lets out a high-pitched squeak, which did hurt a few of nine KISS guys's ears*)

Paul: Ahh! *covers both ears* 😣 That's the loudest squeak I've heard!

Gene: *also covers ears with his hands* 😐 I agree.

Eric Singer: *uncovers his ears when the frog stops doing it's high pitched squeaking, while slowly deflating itself*

Vixen91: Emily, could you please explain why you have a frog as a pet?

Me: I'm glad you asked. 🙂 And before I explain, please make sure that you're wearing rubber gloves before you touch or hold my new pet.

Eric Carr: *is confused* 😮 Why?

Me: Because the oil on our skin can make a pet frog sick, and I can't risk that happening to Pipsqueak.

Vinnie: *chuckles a little bit* 🤭 Pipsqueak? Is that what you named your frog?

Me: *giggles* Yep! That's correct Vinnie. Pipsqueak is my new pet, and he's a *rain frog*. (Nirl)

KellerSinger19: *tilts her head slightly* A what?

Me: A rain frog is what's in this enclosure. His name is Pipsqueak. Basically, he's a newer type of frog that's slowly becoming more popular and being brought to the U.S.

Tommy: Ah...so that's what it is. 😏

(*Paul watches as Pipsqueak the rain frog perches himself in an empty spot in the substrate and starts doing what he thought was digging*)

Paul: What's he doing now? 🤔

Me: *smiles* He's burrowing himself backwards underneath the substrate. In the wild, rain frogs stay burrowed under loose dirt to hide from predators. And every time it rains, they come out to look for food. That's why they're called "rain frogs".

(*Bruce watches as Pipsqueak burrows himself backwards with his back legs, disappearing not far underneath the substrate*)

Me: And another thing is that rain frogs can't hop or jump like other frogs and toads, because their legs are too stubby.

Paul: Wow...really? 😃

Me: Yeah, but they're good at climbing.

Vixen91: So, they puff up their body and let out a high pitched squeak when they feel threatened, right?

Me: *grins* Absolutely! 👍

Suzy: Pipsqueak is a cute name for your rain frog, Emily.

Me: Thanks Suzy! 😎
