The next morning, when Taehyung opened my eyes, everything was blurry for a split second. He tried to sit but couldn't, so he growled and tried again. He has no idea what happened to him. After a while, his condition improved and he sat up straight. He appears to have forgotten everything from the previous night. He got out of bed and went to the bathroom. His nerves calm down after a relaxing shower. He exited the bathroom and approached the mirror when his gaze was drawn to a small figure curved into a ball beside the door. He was taken aback by the agonizing sight. He hurriedly went towards the figure and touched her. She was none other than his beloved wife, y/n.

Her clothes were ripped, milky pale body was badly bruised, and one corner of her lips was completely busted. She was completely unconscious and not waking up. Taehyung was on the verge of crying. He had never cried after his parents' deaths, but today he felt as if all the emotions he had long forgotten were coming back. He splashed water on her face, she finally awoke, and he felt resurrected. After opening her eyes and looking at him, she gasped loudly and attempted to sit straight and crawl backwards but was unable to do so due to a wall behind her. She was terrified after seeing his face, and tears flowed like a waterfall from her eyes. He was trembling as well seeing her in this state because he had always seen her as the one who could never show him her weak side, who always stood in front of him with no fear even when he acted recklessly with her. She had always put him in his place, but today she was afraid of him. After seeing fear in her eyes he got the flashbacks of what happened last night. He tried to touch her face to reassure her that he would not harm her, but this made her even more terrified, and she cried even harder and tried to get away from him even more. He got the sign and said:
Tae: O-ok...ok, I won't touch you.
(He retreated his trembling hands back, but she didn't stop crying. She was looking at her lap and was continuously trembling)
(His words were useless, and the nickname he gave her with was now sounded creepy to her. She was getting flashbacks and was severely traumatized)
Tae: Talk to me, Love, For God sake..... Hit me but don't punish me with your silence.
(Her hiccups and sobs were getting louder and her breathing was getting unstable while he was loosing his calm)
Tae: Please say something. I'll go to any length to stop you from crying....
She finally raised her head. She looked him in the eyes with her bloodshot eyes, tears still streaming down her rosy cheeks, and said:
Y/n: Leave me. (angered filled tone)
Tae: Huh....W-what?
Y/n: I said leave me. Let me go.... Please ( She cried in agony while whispering last word)
He was speechless, but he knew this would happen. It was a valid request. They sat in silence, she was sobbing while looking down and remembering past event and its horror, while he was also shedding tears while looking at her with his wide open eyes. He whispered:
Tae: Ok.....
Y/n: (looked up at him surprised) W..what?
Tae: I...I said ok.....I am willing to let you go...If that makes you happy.
Y/n: R...really? (still in disbelieve)
Tae: (smiling bitterly while tears streaming down his cheeks) Yes.....As I said, Dove, I can go to any lengths for you.....You changed me, I use to think that I love you, So I have every right on you and I'll make you mine by hook or by crook.....B-but I was wrong...Completely wrong. I love you to the point that I am leaving you for your happiness. (sobbing hard)
Y/n: P...promise? (she innocently asked, taken aback by the sudden change in him)
Tae: Promise. (looked up and completely broke down in tears)
After a long period of deafening silence, he hold her hand, she protested again, but he still carefully made her stand up and said:
Tae: You'll be staying here, but I promise you'll never see me again.
Y/n: (Immediately cutting him off) No..no I can't live here..no please. (frantically shaking her head)
Tae: I won't be here than why? (asking her softly)
Y/n: This place haunts me.... This palace tells me about my misfortune. (blankly)
Tae: D...do you want to go to that human world again? (Hesitant)
Y/n: No....I want to live among my people.... Just not with you. (low voice)
Her words tore him apart, but he took all her words as he knew he deserve this treatment. He composed himself and said:
Tae: Ok, I'll send you to your Parents palace.... They use to live there before passing away. Your army and servants are already there. You'll find some relatives in the town too.
(She remained silent, he looked at her like a lost child but he knew he had to let her go, otherwise, she won't be able to live anymore.)
Taehyung left the room, and Y/n went to the lavatory to prepare for her departure. She don't know what she was feeling, she felt attached to the place, its people and..."Him".
But she wasn't able to accept him, this relationship was forced on her and she was a rebel. She was sitting on her bed, staring blankly at the door when it opened, she immediately stood up in fear, but a Maid walked in:
Maid: It's time of your departure, You Highness. (bowing)
Y/n: Coming....
(looked around her room for the last time and exited)
Taehyung's relatives, maids, servants, soldiers, and higher-ranking officials were there to see you off, but he wasn't. You had no idea why you were looking for him; he was a monster to you, but you wanted to see that monster's face one last time. No one dared to ask you a question; they simply met you and wished you well. Aunt was heartbroken, but she promised you that she would visit you frequently. And Finally, you went far away from him....Successfully.
