After ending things with Archie-who insisted that Finn was merely overreacting-Finn dove into a confusing whirlwind of self-doubt. He convinced himself that perhaps his attraction to Archie had been a phase, a youthful mistake born from desperation...
...Finn stared at the old photo in his hand, the image of his younger self ,smiling and carefree, a stark contrast to the lonely and conflicted person he had become
A little smile slipped upon his eerie expression now feeling a weird sense of guilt for turning out like what he is...

Finn never fit in quite right, and as he looked around at the sea of people dancing and laughing.
Parties... big crowds , loud music , stench of booze filling up the whole area. He wondered if he ever would be able to enjoy the noises and booze like them.
Finn summers was a reserved guy, not much into partying and hanging around big and loud crowds . He'd rather just bake or watch anime at home. That's much peaceful.
But here he was, with Archie, his boyfriend of 3years and his friend group , dragged into an atmosphere out of his comfort zone.
Everything felt overwhelming. The music DJ had put on full intensity , the shoes screeching against the floor , the loud cheers of people playing around drinking games.
"Hey, we'll go home soon, at least stop being a killjoy for now, will you?" Archie says leaning against the sofa where everyone was seated in a group .
"Your expression says it all ,dude , at least pretend to be a little happy ,I bought you out on a date."
Archie Lay, Finn's first ever boyfriend ,is a socially open guy with lots of friends and connections. He loved partying, hence, here he was with Finn. Yet once again, to party.
Date... Archie said we're going on a date ,and so I put so much thought into my outfit today,I even wore my favourite perfume.
Date... Is this what a date is supposed to be like? Loud, no fun, with his Friends? Finn thought to himself.
"I forgot to feed my cat , Archie do you mind if I go home earlier today? I've got quite handful of assignments and projects to do too " Finn asks, hoping he could excuse himself from this unpleasant situation.
"Seriously? We're out and enjoying and your worried about your assignments? You gotta be kidding." Archie grumbles growing tired of Finn's behaviour.
"Like dad, like son, such a boomer, fits with none ,do what you want dude. Im over it" Archie adds.
"Excuse me? What did you just say?" Finn says darting his head towards his boyfriend, taken aback and furious on the sentences he just blurted out.
"What!? I said the truth man ,you're no fun , always being the odd grain and killjoy. no wonder you're usually alone ,now I know why people run away from you" Archie strikes back
"That's harsh yo, calm down" one of Archie's friends say sensing the tension in the atmosphere .
"I'm breaking up with you Finn, you tire me out, and don't blame it on me but you really need to fix that behaviour , Maybe take my advice and you'll get someone better in the future." A Snicker from Archie is heard.
"That's it? Just like that? Archie, look, maybe we can talk things out and- please not here- we're with everyone" Finn attempts to settle the situation glancing at everyone around him uncomfortably.
"So what? I tried my best ,took you out on dates, bought you flowers but all you do is give me that face and cry excusing your behaviour saying that's just your past catching up to you, can you just NOT think about your past everytime I try something with you? Why?" He aggravated.
"Well, it doesn't matter anymore now, does it? We're breaking up"
With that Archie stood up and excused himself To washroom leaving everyone with awkwardness in air and Finn feeling humiliated infront of all the people.
Feeling embarrassed Finn leaves the place in a rush, feeling a wave of confusion, humiliation, striding towards his car in big steps.
As soon as he enters the cars, he rests his head on the steering wheel and clenches his hands around it ,once again feeling like it was all his fault.
Maybe He didn't try enough, but he could swear on his life he didn't bring up the troubles of his past up to Archie just to excuse his behaviour, he just... trusted him.

Driving back in still silence with the only sound of cars zooming past.
He felt a weird burning sensation in his throat, he couldn't cry though. When he finally trusted someone with his past enough to open about the problems, it went away in vain. His boyfriend, used it against him , infront of his friends, humiliated him.
Finn knew there was a wall between them, an invisible wall that separates them in a way Finn couldn't decipher. It was vague, but it was there.
FLASHBACK
"You're nothing but a disgrace of a son you ugly shit ,all you do is go around sleeping with boys ,come here I'll beat you until you can't stand up let alone hanging out with fuckboys. It's all your fault."
FLASHBACK ENDS
He clenches his fists on the steering now driving faster wanting to forget everything and to just reach home as soon as he could.
He wanted a break. And a shower, his clothes stunk of booze.

Making A final turn towards his apartment, he parks his car beside a bike. That bike's model looked a little familiar. Not a good memory though. He chuckles at the bitter memory.
He exits his car ,now walking towards his building .He greets the guard at the entrance with a tired nod before entering into the elevator pressing the button of his floor. He was exhausted.
Finn swings open his apartment door and pauses before his eyes widens in horror at the view infront of his eyes.
Oh no.. . . . . .
