Oscar looks up from loud knocking on his hotel door.
He has finally been back at his hotel for half an hour. After a long conversation with Zak and Andrea, they were allowed to go. Several decisions have been made for Lando and Oscar. Mclaren has uploaded a video of them laughing while playing the game they recorded this morning. They both had to post a few photos on Instagram from media day with pictures of them together in between. Tomorrow they have to go to the Fanzone and there they want Oscar and Lando to act normal towards each other and maybe even more closer then ever. Tap each other more often to show signs, for example.
Show that everything is fine between them.
But the biggest problem is not solved yet. Mclaren has to talk to Williams and Oscar also has to talk to Logan.
Oscar opens the door and Logan storms in. Oscar closes the door and he looks at Logan.
"What the fuck were you thinking!" Logan shouts. "Let me explain." Oscar says immediately. "Why are you both so stupid to fight there?! In the middle of the padock?!" "I'm so sorry, okay! This wasn't meant to happen." "Do you understand how much trouble we have now?! Williams isn't happy and I'm not happy either." "They didn't blame you right?" "No, of course not!" "Okay, good." says Oscar.
Logan takes a deep breath. He wants to shout so many things to Oscar, but he needs to control himself.
"Why Oscar?" he asks as calmly as possible. Oscar sits down at the table and Logan follows him and sits down too.
"I told Lando I didn't want to talk to him, but he keeps pushing. Everything has to be his way. Everything revolves around him. Loges, everything! Every meeting, every conversation, I want to isolate myself from last weekend. I don't want to be stuck here now when we're getting in the car tomorrow. I was so focused on him that I didn't realize where we were and that everyone could see or hear it. I don't even know anymore what was said but I said something about our relationship and then Lando got mad and then I realized where we were. It's so stupid and I know that. I'm so sorry."
"We weren't ready Oscar." "I know and I wish I held my big mouth. But I was so frustrated because of Lando." "But what's your problem with him? Oscar you both are always so close and since last week that's getting less." "Maybe because of everything. The photo, all the questions, everyone's opinions, my family's opinions." "Don't let these things ruin your friendship with him." Logan says and Oscar sighs.
"I don't want to talk about him. We need to talk about us and what we're going to do now." "James is going to call Zak and he'll call me back tonight. I expect we'll have a talk tomorrow with everyone." Logan says and Oscar groans and puts his head in his hands.
"I don't want this. Is he could have kept his big mouth then-" "This is your fault Oscar. Stop blaming Lando, you said the words not him." Logan says immediately and Oscar looks at him. "And don't even try to deny that because I saw the video." "I know I said it, but-" "No Oscar. No buts. You said it and you take the blame. Yes he talked to you while you didn't want to. You explained that. But that has nothing to do with our relationship." "I'm sorry."
"What do you want?" Logan asks and Oscar looks at him questioningly. "Do you want to make a post about us or do you want to let it go? I mean we'll probably have a talk tomorrow, but then they'll also ask what we want. What do we want?" "Everybody knows now. Maybe it will be easier to come out now?" Logan looks away and scratches the side of his thumb.
They had never talked about this. They had a shared opinion that they didn't want to come out yet. That's why they had never talked about how or when they would come out.
Logan doesn't know if he's ready for that pressure. His season hasn't been the best and to have all this on top of it, he doesn't know if he can handle it now.
