Sangria didn't trust her father, or her sisters, Sunblaze and Skylancer. But technically they weren't her sisters at all, her father had adopted them. Sangria knew her family hated her. They would often tease her, as was happening right now,
"What's wrong Sangria?" Sunblaze mocked, "Are you pale of fear? Awww wait, you're always pale."
"You're not even close to being as graceful as me." Skylancer said, fanning herself with her Red-Orange wings.
"Stop!" Sangria shouted, curling her unusual tail around her talons,
"You're in no place to give us commands." Her father taunted, running his talons across Sangria's snout, his claws leaving small sparks of pain.
"Why don't you love me?" She cried, feeling tears start to well up in her eyes.
"Because! You-I-Your mother acted this way." He said, lifting his golden orange chin. Oh how badly Sangria wanted to claw his face off. She smashed her sharp spiked tail on the ground, leaving an indent on the once smooth floor.
"If Sunblaze or Skylancer looked like me you wouldn't love them either, you're just as cruel as I thought!" Sangria shouted, tears blurring every corner in her vision, and her family was just a blur of red and orange.
"You never loved me! You never loved my mother either! I love you but you don't love me back!" Sangria screamed running into her room, she sobbed into her pillow, Father hates me! He only ever loves Sunblaze and Skylancer. But why not me? Sangria thought, wiping her eyes with her pale pink claw, she looked around here at her painting of the waterfall she had made for her father, but he had of course, rejected it, so now it held a home in her room, she glanced at her stuffed sheep, full of straw she had harvested, no one seemed to care. She felt her breath start to calm.
"Mother? If your listening, can you-" *hic* "Help me?" Sangria pleaded, tightening her pale blue wings around herself,
"I know you're out there, watching over us. Mother, I wish I could have met you." Sangria said, Lifting herself to a sitting position, she looked out her window, watching the mountains loom over the Sky kingdom. She saw several SkyWings working. Sangria wished she had friends, she wished she wasn't so... different. A sharp knock on the door of her room made Sangria jump, She stood up, her tail clicking against the smooth wooden floor, she opened the door, and saw a completely new dragon, he was big and burly, and he was bright orange.
"Yes?" Sangria asked, nodding her head in a small bow.
"I'm here for you." He said.
"Why?" Sangria asked, confused.
"Because, General Skystorm wants to meet you."
"Who's general Skystorm?" Sangria demanded.
"He's your future partner." The new dragon said.
"Did you just say partner?" Sangria cried, taking a step back, but the SkyWing grabbed her arm and pulled her out of her room. Sangria yelped, trying to pull away.
(TIMESKIP)
"Almost there, Skystorm is a pretty firm SkyWing, he seems to be perfect for you."
"I don't want someone to be firm with me!" Sangria shouted, trying to pull her arm free,
"I'm Jasper, sorry I didn't tell you earlier." He said apologetically. "And you have to be with Skystorm, he thinks you're beautiful."
"What about what I want?" Sangria asked desperately,
"No one cares about what you want. The only one that Matters is General Skystorm!" Jasper said.
(Timeskip sorry lol)
"General Skystorm, this is the dragon you are looking for." Jasper said, throwing Sangria to the floor, she was forced into a bow, Skystorm lifted her chin, holding her cheekbones.
"So this is Sangria." He said, his claws still holding up her chin. "She's perfect."
"I am not perfect for you!" Sangria shouted, flaring her wings and standing up, he stumbled backwards, his eyes a mix of fear and admiration, Sangria opened her mouth, and for the first time, she felt a cold, icy feeling gathering in her throat, like the water filling a glass, Frostbreath! She thought, and then, the icy feeling filled her mouth as it shot toward Skystorm, he shrieked as it hit his wing. She leapt into the air, rushing toward her home. She heard wingbeats behind her, it was probably Jasper,
"Leave me alone!" Sangria yelled, whirling around,
"I can't! I'm under orders!" And he tackled her, pulling her towards the ground, though they landed safely, he pinned her down, she glared up at him. And then it was a blur of red as he was shoved off of her, it was another SkyWing.
"I won't let you hurt her!" The new dragon shouted.
"Oh, like you can stop me." Jasper chuckled.
"Really?" She growled. "I am Cerise, you may know me by my reputation, killing." Cerise cackled, slashing her claws across Jasper's neck, blood bubbled from the wound, filling the cracks between his scales.
"Like I said, I'm not going to let you hurt her." And with that, she snapped his neck with a violent crack.
