"Ugh! Not again!" Technoblade groaned, pacing in his cramped cell. The metal walls felt like they were closing in on him, a cage he had inhabited for 27 long years. He pressed his forehead against the cold surface, trying to focus on the distant sounds of alien life beyond the bars. "I can't take another day like this."
Suddenly, a loud alarm blared through the corridor. WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! Red lights flashed, casting eerie shadows across his cell. Technoblade's heart raced. "What now? More experiments? More tests?" He clenched his fists, recalling the various ways they had tormented him. "They can't keep me here forever!"
Then, the unmistakable sound of boots echoed in the hallway. Thud. Thud. Thud. He pressed his ear to the door, trying to catch a glimpse of what was happening. The door rattled as something crashed against it. Technoblade took a step back, adrenaline flooding his veins.
"Move! Move!" a voice shouted, harsh and commanding.
"What are they doing?" Technoblade whispered to himself, squinting through the bars. He could see shadows darting back and forth. "Are they fighting?"
"Get the human! Now!" another voice yelled.
Technoblade's breath caught in his throat. "Human? That's me!" Panic surged through him, but a flicker of hope ignited. "Maybe they're here to rescue me!"
The door burst open with a loud clang, metal screeching against metal. A group of strange beings stormed in, their forms a blur of colors and shapes. One figure, taller than the rest, stepped forward. His crow-like features glinted under the lights, and a fierce determination radiated from him.
"Come on we got to go," the crow hybrid said, extending a hand toward Technoblade.
"Wait! Who are you?" Technoblade asked, eyeing the alien warily. The others behind the crow were busy dispatching the guards, flashing weapons and shrieks mixed with the chaos.
"I'm Philza!, but call me Phil" the crow declared, his voice steady. "You're coming with us."
Technoblade hesitated, glancing between the freedom of the corridor and the safety of his cell. "You want to take me away?"
"Yes!" Philza nodded, exasperation creeping into his voice. "Now get moving!"
With a deep breath, Technoblade stepped forward, heart racing. "Alright..."
They bolted down the hall, Technoblade trailing closely behind Philza, who was effortlessly taking down any guards in their path. "What's your name?" Philza shouted over the cacophony.
"Technoblade! But-"
"Less talking, more running!" Philza interrupted, barely dodging a blast from a guard's weapon.
"Right!" Technoblade sprinted after him, adrenaline pumping. They rounded a corner, and the chaos of battle echoed behind them. "What's happening? Who are you?"
"We're the SBI, and we're here to take you home!" Philza replied, his wings unfurling slightly as he propelled himself forward.
"Home?" Technoblade echoed, bewildered.
"Just keep running!" Philza urged, his eyes darting around.
"Okay, okay!"
They reached the ship's exit, a massive door emblazoned with alien symbols. Philza pressed a series of buttons on the panel. "Hurry!"
The door slid open with a hiss, and Technoblade stumbled onto the ship, the bright control room blinding him momentarily. He took a deep breath, the scent of metal and strange spices filling his lungs.
"Get him secured!" Philza ordered, and two other hybrids-one with fox-like features and another resembling a raccoon-approached Technoblade.
"Hey, I'm Wilbur!" the fox hybrid grinned, his tail wagging. "Don't worry, we'll keep you safe."
"Tommy!" the raccoon hybrid exclaimed, bouncing on his feet. "You're gonna love it here! No more aliens poking you with sharp things!"
"Right," Technoblade said, still reeling from the sudden shift in his reality. "What's the plan?"
"Get out of here, obviously!" Wilbur said, pulling Technoblade toward a seat. "Strap in!"
"Okay!" Technoblade complied, his heart racing with excitement and confusion. "But why me?"
"Because you're one of us now," Philza said, his voice softer as he finished inputting commands. "Family."
"Family?" Technoblade repeated, a strange warmth blossoming in his chest.
"Yeah, family," Tommy chimed in, his eyes wide. "You'll see! We look out for each other!"
"Now hang on!" Philza shouted as the ship lurched forward. The alarms blared, but this time, they were the sounds of escape. VROOOOOOOM!
Technoblade's heart soared. "We're really doing this?"
"We are!" Wilbur laughed, excitement radiating from him. "Just wait until you see the stars!"
The ship flew into the void, leaving the prison behind. Technoblade gazed out the window, awestruck by the vastness of space. "I can't believe it," he breathed. "I never thought I'd see this."
"Welcome to freedom!" Tommy cheered, his voice filled with joy.
Philza turned to Technoblade, his expression serious. "But it won't be easy. We have enemies, and they'll come after us."
"Enemies?" Technoblade frowned, the weight of reality settling back in. "Like who?"
"Those who took you," Philza replied, his gaze hardening. "They don't like losing their property."
"I'm not property," Technoblade said, defiance rising within him. "I'm a person, and I can fight!"
Wilbur clapped him on the shoulder. "That's the spirit! We'll train you, make sure you can hold your own!"
"Yeah!" Tommy said, bouncing in his seat. "We'll show you everything! It'll be fun!"
"Fun?" Technoblade raised an eyebrow. "You call fighting aliens fun?"
"Absolutely!" Wilbur declared, a grin on his face. "It's what we do!"
Technoblade couldn't help but smile at their enthusiasm. "Alright, I'm in. Let's do this."
"Good!" Philza nodded, a hint of pride in his eyes. "But first, we need to lay low for a while. We can't let them track us."
"Where are we going?" Technoblade asked, curiosity piquing.
"A safe planet," Philza replied. "A place where we can regroup."
As the ship flew deeper into space, Technoblade felt the weight of his past begin to lift. The S.B.I. felt different; they were chaotic but warm, a stark contrast to everything he had known.
"Tell me about yourselves," Technoblade said, eager to learn more. "What's it like out here?"
"Endless!" Tommy exclaimed, eyes sparkling. "We explore, we fight, we eat-"
"Eat?" Technoblade interrupted, a thought striking him. "I haven't eaten in days!"
"Don't worry!" Wilbur reassured him. "We've got plenty of food. You're gonna love it! Space food is the best!"
"Really?" Technoblade raised an eyebrow. "What's that like?"
"Surprises!" Tommy laughed. "You'll just have to try it!"
Philza smiled, watching the banter unfold. "It's not just about the food. It's about the adventure. We face challenges together, and we make memories."
"Memories," Technoblade echoed, the word lingering in the air. "I never thought I'd make any again."
"Of course you will!" Wilbur said, waving his hand dismissively. "We'll make so many together!"
Philza turned back to the controls, eyes sharp as he navigated through the stars. "Hold on tight, Technoblade. The real journey is just beginning."
Technoblade stared out at the endless expanse, feeling a strange sense of belonging. "I'm ready," he declared, determination surging within him. "Let's find our place among the stars."
As they flew into the unknown, a new chapter unfolded, one filled with laughter, adventure, and the promise of family. And for the first time in his life, Technoblade truly felt free.
