Chloe opened her eyes.

She was in one of the building's hallways, her apartment was just a few doors away.

"What the..."

She slowly moved forward, cautiously.

Her apartment was just in front of her now, so why did she feel so unsure out of nowhere?

She slowly reached and opened the apartment door.

No one was inside.

"Hmp." She started to make her way towards her owner's room.

"Ugh, can I help you?"

Chloe's paws instantly got off the ground in a jump and her fur bristled wildly.

And, on the apartment's couch, was a Tiger, beside him was a Jaguar, both of them looked at her with the same shock. The only thing that was heard from the room was now the abandoned TV.

"Hey, Mount? Come look at this." The tiger added.

To Chloe's bewilderment, a Mountain Lion then came to the room, followed by a Snow Leopard.

"I was this close to finally beating Snow here, this close!-What in the name of Cat Tree is that?!"

"She just marched straight right-in."

The Snow Leopard narrowed her eyes at the Tiger. "Is he for real? This weirdo just marched in?"

"Yep."

For every step the Mountain Lion took to get to her, Chloe took one step back, however, it became useless when he caught up in his big steps and poked her.

That's when Chloe decided to slash her claws, though unfortunately, he backed away before his muzzle could touch them.

"Wow! Feisty one." He murmured.

"I have a life, you idiot!" She hissed.

The jump he did after that reminded her of the one she did not too long ago.

"It can talk!"

"What are you?" The Snow Leopard asked, she sounded and looked as if she had just seen a ghost.

"A cat! Duh!"

Half of the cats in the room snorted.
"A cat? Like us? Honey, you're lucky you have made it to rabbit height."

Feeling her teeth grit, Chloe shoved past them. "Listen, I didn't want to be the witch of the fairytale here, but you guys leave me no choice; I'm gonna have to call the zoo or something. I would appreciate it if you guys just left to avoid being injured."

"Zoo?"

Chloe looked back when she heard everyone say the question. "Yeah, why?"

"What's a 'zoo'?"

"You're all screwing with me."

"No, we aren't. Really."

Chloe narrowed her eyes. "For how long have y'all been here?"

"Since...like...forever?"

Chloe widened her eyes, then this meant...

No.

She ran towards the hallway, to the stairs, and all the way to the lobby and outside.

She looked around for her owner, but she wasn't here. Why wasn't she here???

"Um, weirdo?"

She looked behind her to see the other felines catching up to her.

She didn't trust them or them, so she kept running.

"Wait! Hold on!"

Huh?

She stopped, and in front of her, a hawk, not Tiberius, barely missed snatching her, and not long after that sight, the other felines growled at the bird before chasing it away, the Jaguar managed to give it a good scratch by its tail before it was completely out of reach.

Still startled, Chloe looked at the other cats, who now didn't look scared, but concerned.

"Let's...take you to King. He always knows what to do."
