Cedric was known to his people as a king who enjoyed their presence. Not a single person in the Kingdom of Parsial would ever say he was unfit to rule. His wisdom and purpose was apparent to them. He was careful with his decisions and patient with his judgment. Crime was low in his kingdom but that is far from his doing. The faction called Shadow work as his personal guard and no one who sees them lives long after. They keep balance and maintain order during the night while the magical knights keep the people in check during the day. The Kingdom was clean and well maintained. Cedric looked into affairs outside of his nation for entertainment most of the time and even partook in guild activities such as bounty hunting. When asked why he never had guards with him he simply answered. "Guards would just get in my way"

Cedric looked down into his book and grit his teeth. His usual grin had faded and a scowl was left. He stood from his throne and walked towards the exit. He walked out of his office and was met with a group of nobles waiting in his throne room. "So how far do we go?" Cedric spoke. "The reports given to me by the faction shadow are sickening. Everyone here is guilty in one way or another. The people of this kingdom are my people and not yours. Meaning NONE of you have the authority to order anyone's execution or servitude. Look around my Castle. You see people tending to the house and my cars. You see people fixing my electronics and helping my family. No one in this house is forced to be here. If I do not have slaves, why assume its okay because you have noble blood?" Cedric was pissed. The corruption behind the scenes in his own kingdom made his stomach turn. The Kingdom, despite being peaceful, was however on the brink of war with the nation of Kornai to their east. A rich metal could be found in Parsial that was used to make anti magic weapons and vehicles. If any nation could stand against the more magically inclined races it was Parsial. Cedric was born to a noble family but refused to accept a privileged childhood. He found friendship in a young noble demon Shawn Johnson and a black elf Da'Mar Ealons. The three grew up under the tutelage of a few teachers and then went on to fight in the great magical war. This war had many chapters and the three distinguished themselves as some of the most talented mages to ever live. Cedric the Immortal King was crowned leader of Parsial after he saved the nation from the mad king that reigned before.

The nobles remained silent as Cedric continued to condemn them. "What should I do with each of you?" He finally asked. The group all began to beg and plead for forgiveness and claim their power went to their head. Cedric smirked his usual smirk and his eyes began to glow golden. "I command you to kneel" He said loudly. All 8 of the nobles instantly knelt down, bowing to the king. Cedric began to walk past them, leaving the throne room and making a break for the exit of the castle where his car should be waiting. Before walking out he snapped his fingers. As the door closed behind him the 8 nobles could be heard screaming for their lives. Cedric got inside his car and nodded to the driver. "Let's depart, to the 7 wonders festival. It's time to show the world my mission." He smirked. The driver agreed but questioned him. "What if the others participate?" he asked. Cedric just smiled.

Deeper in the Kingdom of Parsial

The sounds the video game controller clicked and clicked as the young boy Jax played his favorite game in the center of his living room. A small but commanding voice chimed in on his session. "Take the trash out please son." A woman said from the kitchen. The smell of her cooking filled the air and Jax knew if he wanted any of it he would get up right away and do as his mother asked. He grabbed the large and heavy bag of trash and left out of the front door. He lived in a small apartment with his mother despite being a 22 year old he had no job. Jax was smart enough to still make enough money to make his mother content and not have to work. Jax never knew his father but he had gained a magical ability that doctors claimed was hereditary. The ability to manifest chains that would surround his target and force them to confess whatever truth sought by the caster. The doctors also warned this to be a demonic magical power and it should never be used as it was deemed a forbidden magic. The dumpster was wedged into a corner at the end of the road. Jax walked and scanned the neighborhood. As he walked he took in the poor state of things and only wished he could help the poor that had become the majority of the city's population.

Jax lifted the heavy bag above his head and tossed it into the dumpster. Before he could turn around he noticed a group of men walking slowly towards his location. He figured maybe they had trash as well but he saw no bags. Shrugging he put his hands in his pockets and began to calmly walk home. After a moment he noticed the men walk past the dumpster still headed right for him. He looked over his shoulder and noticed the man in the front leading the pack was brandishing a magical pistol. The man aimed it at Jax's back and fired. Jax swiftly ducked and rolled onto the ground. He quickly sprang up and took off down the nearest alley. The men now followed all shooting in his direction. Jax ran and ran but noticed blood on him. He was hit but couldn't tell where. Jax dashed down an alley nearby where he would soon be cornered by the thugs. The afternoon sun had dimed and the cool mist of night time flooded the area. "You owe the wrong people some money boy" the leader of the gang spoke out to him. Jax could feel his heart beating faster than normal. He paused and said nothing. His eyes went white as if his pupils disappeared. His aura rose and his magical energy surged becoming visible. The group of attackers all brandished their guns aiming directly at him. The magic manifested golden chains that shot from his back grabbing each and every one of his attackers. Jax began to yell with intensity as the men panicked. Their guns melted from the heat of his aura. "I am the vessel for the spirit of Olorun. May the heat of the sun consume you!" he spoke with his voice distorted. The men all turned to ash within the chains. When Jax came to realize what he had done. He covered his mouth trying to prevent himself from throwing up. He dashed past the mess he made and darted for the entrance to the alley way. Just as he bent the corner he ran directly into a tall thin man. "You're coming with me man. Your older brother summons you." The man spoke directly, making eye contact. Jax looked at the man's tattoo on his neck. It was an opened eye similar to the eye of Horus in Egyptian mythology. Jax followed the man to the car and hopped in.
