It was a warm morning in Pune, and both Ruturaj and Utkarsha were preparing for their respective cricket commitments. Ruturaj was gearing up for an important Ranji Trophy match, while Utkarsha was focused on her training for an upcoming state-level tournament. They had never crossed paths before, despite being from the same city, but fate was about to change that.
Ruturaj, fresh off an IPL season, found himself enjoying the comfort of home. He had some downtime before the match, and after weeks of non-stop travel, Pune's peace was a welcome change.
"Aaj kuch alag lag raha hai," he thought, stepping out for his morning run along the quiet beach."
Meanwhile, Utkarsha was at the academy, fiercely bowling at the nets. The sound of the ball crashing into the stumps was music to her ears.
"Yeh over mera best hoga," she whispered to herself, the adrenaline rushing through her veins. She was determined to make it big-not just as a state player but with dreams of donning the India jersey.
Her coach noticed her focus and dedication, "Utkarsha, tu kabhi haar nahi maanti. You have that fighting spirit. Bas aise hi khelte raho." But deep down, she knew that in the world of cricket, ek perfect over ya ek accha spell kabhi kabhi kaafi nahi hota.
_______________________________As the day progressed, Ruturaj found himself in a casual gathering with some old friends. He wasn't one to socialize much, especially before a match, but today felt different.
He met up with his childhood friend Rahul at a café. Rahul was the kind of friend who always knew how to lift Ruturaj's spirits.
"Bhai, tujhe yaad hai hum kaise galliyon mein khelte the?" Rahul laughed. "Aur ab dekho, tu national team tak pahunch gaya hai!"
"Bas kismat acchi thi," Ruturaj smiled, sipping his coffee. But in his heart, he knew it was a lot more than just luck.
_______________________________Utkarsha, after a long day of practice, decided to unwind with her close friends at the same café. It was rare for her to take time off, but today, she allowed herself that little break.
As she entered, her friends were already seated. "Finally, Utkarsha madam time nikalke aa gayi!" one of them teased.
"Arey bas, thoda chill karne ka mann tha," she replied, laughing. Her mind was still partly on her training and the upcoming tournament, but it felt good to just sit back and relax for once.
