Moon slowly opened his eyes, still not fully aware that he had fallen asleep on Vee's shoulder. He stretched his body and noticed a jacket draped over his lap. The moment he realized there was someone beside him, his senses sharpened. Carefully, he lifted his head and saw Vee sleeping next to him. He almost gasped but quickly covered his mouth.
His gaze landed on Vee's face, which looked so relaxed in sleep. "You can look this calm," he whispered softly, "so why do you always wear that unapproachable expression every day?" Noticing Vee's hair falling over his eyes, Moon hesitated for a moment before reaching out to gently move the strands. But just as his fingers brushed against Vee's hair, Vee's eyes fluttered open.
Moon froze, caught off guard, and awkwardly pointed at Vee's hair. "Oh, um... I was just trying to move your hair."
Vee quickly stood up, clearly flustered. "I saw you sleeping. I didn't want to wake you."
Moon chuckled softly. "So that's why you fell asleep too?"
Vee scratched the back of his head, nervous. "Hmm? Ah... yeah, something like that."
Moon laughed quietly, breaking the tension. "Alright, I won't say anything more."
Still feeling a bit awkward, Vee changed the subject. "Let's head home. I'll drive you."
Moon smiled, holding back another laugh. "No need. I should be the one driving you since you came to the office in my car."
Vee blinked, realizing the truth of it, and let out a soft chuckle. Without saying much else, he agreed, allowing Moon to drive him home that night.
Vee unbuckled his seatbelt, a little awkward. "Err... it's getting pretty late..."
Moon glanced at the clock on the dashboard. "Yeah, it's almost midnight."
For a moment, Vee was silent before speaking softly. "Drive safely."
A small smile appeared on Moon's face as he heard Vee's words. "Don't worry, Khun. You too, be careful going into your apartment. Watch your step, don't trip or slip," Moon teased with a light tone.
Vee smiled briefly before getting out of the car. He waved slightly, just a quick motion, before heading toward his apartment door.
Not long after, Moon's phone buzzed. A new message notification appeared. It was from Vee.
"Fandi na khap..." Vee had written in the text. Moon glanced at the message, and suddenly, his face felt warm. His cheeks flushed, and an uncontrollable smile spread across his face, as if that simple message carried an unexpected wave of warmth that made his heart flutter.
Moon's phone kept ringing, disturbing his Saturday rest, his long-awaited day off after a week filled with unexpected events. Annoyed, he fumbled around, trying to find his phone.
"Err... what..." Moon muttered as he answered the call, clearly irritated.
"Haven't you woken up yet? We have a futsal game today..." The voice on the other end was familiar. Moon glanced at the name on his phone screen, it was Dao.
"Are you crazy? It's only 9 AM. Our futsal game is at 4 PM," Moon grumbled, ready to hang up the call. But just as he was about to, he heard another voice.
"We're already near your place. Come down quickly."
With a heavy heart and a reluctant sigh, Moon finally went downstairs to meet his friends, who were already waiting in the living room. There was a new but familiar face sitting among them.
Still feeling groggy, Moon approached them sluggishly. "Seriously, this is the first day all week I can finally rest. Can't you let me enjoy it?"
"No way! Today is Great's birthday, and he's treating us to lunch," Dao said enthusiastically.
