         Autumn Lockwood has lived in her twin brother, Tyler Lockwood's shadow since she was born. He had everything, the popularity, approval from their parents, and all the friends that Autumn envied him for having. Carol, Autumns mother never approved of her daughter's lack of care for her "duties of being in a founding family" and the "responsibility of being the mayors daughter".  Autumns only escape from her life in the shadows was her imaginary friends she's had since she was little that explore her dreams at night and follow her through each day. Except they don't feel so imaginary, especially not when they become very real. Being thrown into the world of supernatural alone was enough of a whirlwind but finding out that your imaginary friends are a notorious family of vampires take things to a whole new level for Autumn.
